A person will post about himself doing bad (happily). Another person will call out that person doing bad. Then some rando with 100 followers will tell THAT person that they are bad for talking about the other person doing bad. That rando is the worst of all these people.

@TeeplesCY I would just like to say that if everyone is against killing babies, then that's your point right there, since both Republican and Democrat leaders have bombed, shot, and otherwise engaged in war with others, which... kills babies.

The reality is that neither the Democrats nor the Republicans fully embrace what the Church teaches, and it is dishonest to pretend otherwise. For example: One side fights for babies in the womb, then cuts programs that feed them once they’re born. Meanwhile American mothers die from pregnancy at the highest rate of any wealthy nation. The other side supports mothers and kids but denies any legal protection to the unborn. Both fall short. As the Church itself has stated, gospel principles can be found in more than one party. So when I vote, I ask two questions. Has this person demonstrated a willingness to live a moral and virtuous life? And can they negotiate with people who disagree to reach outcomes everyone can live together with? I will take a leader who seeks the common good and protects basic rights for all over one who chases absolute victory every time.

@WMCHerrington @PTSPentax @actsofapostles_ @kylebeshears I feel like the existence of the internet made it easier for the leadership to see fallacies in what some of the local areas were teaching and to correct the mistakes. Some of those fake quotes from apostles that were widely circulated were debunked, and people heard about it.

@PTSPentax @actsofapostles_ @kylebeshears That said, there is a reason that a number of people within the church and without are recognizing a softening on basic doctrines that were taught in primary and seminary. Once upon a time, relaxing the doctrines related to exaltation would have been unheard of.

30 years ago, Mormons were much more monolithic in their beliefs. Today, many individual Wormans taken à la carte approach to their faith, thus making it easier for any one member of the LDS Church to say “Well that’s not what I believe at all.”

@pimomormon Correct. You don't. I remember when the number of temple recommends in a ward were abysmal, like 20% or something. It's funny to pretend that everyone does something when the ward list is way bigger than sacrament meeting.

You hear that guys? You don’t have to have a temple recommend, even though the church leaders harp on this point every six months.

@plasmarob People all the time are like, see how bad it is in Isaiah that women lead them? But I read it differently because at the end of the chapter, all the men have died in the war. So I see it as a challenge to prepare and be self-sufficient.

@_consistent_man @cardinestwit True but there are some cultures (and some people in my comments) who admittedly still do it in their 40s with their own parents. But the vast majority stop after toddler age. Same with us haha
