@JerryTurin @Twolfrecovery it's changing downtown, so many more vacant storefronts, fewer people. A man entered and started choking the clerk behind the counter at Poke Bowl on Kearny 2 weeks ago. Police arrived. I didn't used to see that, and I've been working in that 'hood for many years.

@Twolfrecovery To be fair though, the Civic Center & corresponding Market street are the worst, and the actual "neighborhoods" in the City are quite nice as per unusual. So it has become an outlier.

This isn't some isolated neighborhood in San Francisco. This is the heart of the city next to the main library across the street from city hall. The city can't recover fully unless we address this. And it requires intervention.
