It’s a new scenario. We are doing these right now and my brand of sperg is here for it.
And I think my answer nicely rebound off my testosterone post from yesterday (I’ll link it in the replies).
In this scenario I go BLUE.
Why? BOTH buttons need 50%+ for me to live. So. My self interest is met either way so I’m in a position to then be more prosocial. As one would predict! 😁

@caroghero It isn't about the logical choice for me to survive in that scenario, it's the possibility that one of my young children might not pick red because they don't know how.

There are two buttons in front of you, red and blue. If you push red, you live. If you push blue, you die.
The only catch is that if you push red, a bunch of the most annoying people you know are forever mad at you for pushing red. When you point out that they also must have pushed red, given that they're alive, they get really upset at you and say that they actually were *going* to push blue, as they had created a fantasyland where if enough of them pushed blue they could have saved everyone who also pushed blue for no reason. However, because of selfish people like you, it was obvious that this plan wasn't going to work. So they, regrettably, had to push red. BUT NOT for the reason you pushed red. They pushed red but it was painful to them, because they are deep down good people. Really good people who care about humanity. Not you though, you pushed red because you are a selfish sociopath.

Everyone assumes I definitely pick red here, but the reality is when phrased like this I would be more likely to choose blue than in the original. I would still encourage my wife and children to choose red, same for the orphans.

si pulsas el azul, sigues currando con tu vida normal
si pulsas el rojo, te dan una paguita vitalicia del estado y no vuelves a dar un palo al agua
dilema:
