.@airindia have been absolutely appalling in dealing with an issue they caused - still hoping they will do the right thing but the impression we have had so far is very poor. But let's see - will update with full details once we have news...

The clean energy transition is unstoppable. Unstoppable because clean energy is the route to energy security. Unstoppable because it is the economic opportunity of our time. And unstoppable because the climate crisis is here, and unless we act, things will only get worse.

(1/2) Afghan women in & out of #AFG have been protesting morality law, especially its ban on women’s voices, by posting videos of themselves singing online. In an interview with #NPR, one woman said, “Every day the Taliban seeks new ways to restrict women.”

Rich people dont understand what climate change means. It means food running out in shops - sporadically then permanently. Peoples homes becoming uninsurable after flood after flood. Collapse of law and order. Eventually it means police being overhwhelmed. And it wont get better

Some $2.43 billion of nearly $3.33 billion appropriated for assistance to #Afghanistan since end of FY 2021 has gone toward humanitarian assistance, representing 73% of the total. Taliban’s bans on other drugs have mixed results, & recent resistance & unrest due to opium ban show Taliban faces mounting challenges. Questions of how long Taliban’s opium ban will last, & whether Taliban will succeed…in ridding #AFG of its opium dependence, yet to be answered

Makes me feel sick how they casually reported a third of trees are at risk of extinction on the BBC news. We are monsters. We seem to think we can live without trees and animals and food and life. And now they’re onto the football. Sheer sick madness.

The @bbcnews just said we are heading towards 3.2C warming. That means absolutely nothing to the public. Tell them what it means.

Carbon capture instead of stopping oil & gas EVs instead of reducing car dependency Ocean cleanups instead of stopping plastic production Planting trees instead of ending deforestation Ever notice how all the fashionable 'solutions' are all aimed at not changing anything?
