I got the manufactured plushie. It’s AWFUL. I hate it. They ensured me the fabric would be very soft and it feels super unpleasant to touch. It’s supposed to be a cat holding an infinity symbol but it doesn’t look like a cat in person. It’s ugly. What the f did they do 😭😭

Where was this Survey solicited? Neurodiversity groups/online? Majority with #autism are NOT on social media. Especially those who’s ⭐️function level⭐️ doesn’t allow for participation in trying to erase medical FACTS & language policing. #SevereAutism #nonverbal #ProfoundAutism
Steven Kapp@drstevenkapp

A survey of more than 500 autistic people found 80% preferred identity-first language vs 6% for person-first language. 74% opposed functioning labels vs 13% who supported them. Among people opposing functioning labels 86% supported stating the individual needs of each person 👇

@DickieRAnderson Did you read “Saving Normal” by @AllenFrancesMD, an architect of DSM-IV? If not, I would recommend it. At my work I deal with very unwell ppl, & I don’t encounter with healthy ppl who self-diagnose psychological issues & then declare themselves as 'undiagnosed’ #autism or #ADHD.

#ADHD: there is indeed an attention deficit here but it is a lack of attention for children's need for love, play, nourishing peer & carer interactions. The medicalisation of social issues is evident here.

@autismgadfly Neurodiversity NEEDS the autistic savant trope. They deny it but they require it to argue autism is good. Abolish the vaccine poison NOW, stop creating us.

♥️Message from London. ♥️ A few of us are turning up outside the royal college of general practice (london) on 20th June - with a megaphone to share our stories and put pressure on them - everyone is welcome. Demand they get their gp’s to all read this deprescribing book asap.

Amazing thing one: I was doing my nursing home gig and met a woman who played at Michigan Women's Music Festival!! She's a resident, at the moment, but healing quickly and going home soon. We talked about TERFery, women's spaces and music. It was a BLAST!

#ProfoundAutism’s a LARGE % #autism yet most ignored by research & cast asides by current “awareness.” Our kids have #languagedisability/ #nonverbal yet people want to pretend it’s intact🤷‍♀️just needs IPad🙄or “other” as JUST ID😡 Profound autism is BEHAVIOURAL care needs 24/7.
Judith U@Autismville

Enough with the ambiguities and generalizations. Clarity and focus are needed for those who require lifetime/24/7 care. We are dying out here.

Profound autism is just too big sometimes. Severe self-injury is a particular curse that I wouldn't wish on anyone. We need answers for this community. Researchers, Advocates, Leaders of autism organizations ... World! Please help us!

Which level of anti-vax are you on? My answer in the comments. 1. Vaccines are the greatest invention in human history 2. Vaccines are safe and effective 3. Most vaccines are safe but some have safety issues 4. After seeing friends get injured, I’m starting to rethink this particular vaccine 5. After seeing family maimed and murdered I’m starting to rethink other vaccines too 6. Vaccines should only be given to those who are “susceptible to illness” 7. All vaccines are toxic 8. Vaccines are eugenics 9. Viruses don’t exist which completely negates the entire premise of vaccines.

@txsalth2o @ChrisPalmerMD Because they are both vaxxine injury, just one is more extreme than the other, they are correct there is a common root to both, they just ignore the common root being vaxx poisoning.

The medical community continues to do us all a disservice by labeling such a wide variety of behaviors as autism. My son has what was historically diagnosed as Asperger’s, when you compare him with a child that’s far more severe, one that’s non-verbal, you’d wonder how any study can be accurate with the two very different children receiving the same diagnosis.

Do some children "outgrow" autism? This study suggests that either misdiagnosis is common or that it's possible that the brain can change over time (aka neuroplasticity).
Chris Palmer, MD@ChrisPalmerMD

Does autism persist if diagnosed in early childhood? This study found that 37% of children diagnosed betweenn 12-36 months of age no longer met criteria by the time they were 7 years old. "Lifetime" diagnostic labels aren't always accurate. jamanetwork.com/journals/jamap…

Listen.. ADHD is not a real disease. It's a social construction that only evolves from a consumer mindset where one's value is determined by specific status symbols aligned w/ serving the needs of the western economic systems. It does not exist outside that paradigm.
