An ex-OpenAI researcher is running a $5.5B hedge fund with 16% allocated to $BE, with strong conviction in distributed power solutions for AI infrastructure. The portfolio is also heavily concentrated in $CRWV (up 10%), $LITE, and $INTC, all tied to the buildout of next-generation compute and optical connectivity. Taken together, the positioning reflects a clear bet on the power, networking, and silicon layers supporting the AI data-center expansion cycle. It is fair to say the strategy is working so far. No... wait. That's an understatement.

$BE Bloom Energy is up 8% AH after expanding its partnership with $ORCL to deploy up to 2.8GW of fuel cell capacity for AI and cloud data centers, building on an initial 1.2GW already under contract and currently being deployed. This agreement highlights how hyperscalers like $MSFT, $AMZN, and $GOOGL are increasingly turning to on-site, modular power solutions as grid interconnection timelines stretch years and AI workloads require faster time-to-power.

@nrmehta We have failed as a society. Under 21 cannot have alcohol but can be put on dangerous narcotics to transition?? Who in the right mind allows that ? If your son had stayed as a son, this would have not happened. I’m sorry but that’s the truth. A lesson to other fathers.

[This post is very heavy] “There are moments that the words don't reach There is suffering too terrible to name You hold your child as tight as you can And push away the unimaginable” “It’s Quiet Uptown” from Hamilton Last Tuesday, the unimaginable happened. We lost our 17-year-old daughter, Summer Devi Mehta. Unimaginable suffering. Unimaginable grief. Unimaginable fog. We held her tight for so long, with the help of so many. But ultimately, it wasn’t enough. But yet, equally unimaginable was the love. We hosted a celebration of life on Saturday, which we called “Summer Lovin’,” after the song “Summer Nights” from the musical Grease (we are all theater nerds here). About 100 of her classmates, teachers and staff joined our family and we heard countless tales about how Summer impacted the lives of others in big ways and small. One person told us that Summer lived a more vital existence in 17 years than most do in 100. To that end, Summer’s last wish was to raise $1M or more for the Trevor Project, with the goal of reducing youth suicide and having fewer stories end in such an unimaginable way. Check out Summer’s story and donate, if you choose, here: lnkd.in/g_R9RC39 We felt so much caring from the community and recommitted to living our lives with heart and purpose, as Summer did. On Friday, we handled the most painful task of cremating her remains. After the ceremony, we went to Half Moon Bay and stared out into the ocean. I imagine Summer’s spirit riding those waves into peace. The final lines of “Summer Nights” capture how we feel now: “Summer dreams ripped at the seams But, oh Those summer Nights! (Tell me more, tell me more, more, more)”

At 39 I got laid off, had a mortgage, 2 kids under 5 & no idea what was next. Now at 41 I make $102K+/month, drive my kids to school every morning & am the happiest I’ve ever been. Here's how I did it (so you can too):

we've raised over $81M for @WisprFlow without pitching investors. every round has gone the same way: > we're heads down building. > then a vc shows up at our office. > "what do we need to do to lead your next round?” all while we weren't even raising. @apartovi at neo did this. @hanstung at notable capital did this. @mkraning at menlo ventures did this. they all offered tomorrow's valuation for today's company. before we hit our metrics. before we made a deck. before i even put on a proper outfit. most investors need social proof. "who else is in? what are other firms saying?" pre-emptive investors are different. they show up early, pay premium prices, and bet on vision over metrics. these are the investors you actually want. when shit gets chaotic (and it always does), they don't panic. they have independent conviction. they believed when nobody else did. they’re not going anywhere. the best investors don't follow rounds. they create them.

If our business would be the first to be competed away by vibe coded apps, why are we seeing such rapid customer growth (exceeding 50%) right now? And why don't we see vibe coded email or spreadsheet or accounting app or messaging apps yet? My own personal R&D project is to enable huge gains in programmer productivity by _combining_ compiler technology with AI. Our goal is to enable a quantum leap in programmer productivity while being able to provide security, privacy and compliance guarantees. Without those guarantees, vibe coding just piles up tech debt faster and faster until the whole thing collapses. ‌ Of course, for people like Garry Tan, tech debt is to be pawned off on unsuspecting acquirers. Let me make a bet with Garry Tan: we will outshine and outlast his vibe coding companies!
Garry Tan@garrytan

Zoho’s business would be first to be competed away by people building their own custom software built by people using @Replit @emergentlabs and @Taskade Why pay $30/seat/month for over bundled SaaS when soon even nontech ops ppl can vibe-code a custom solution in a weekend?

Whenever you think a market is "crowded" or "there's too many competitors", remember that a YC startup (Giga) beat Sierra in a direct bakeoff to get Doordash as a customer. Its never too late. Never listen to the haters. Just build.

Chad IDE (@cladlabs) is the brainrot code editor. AI coding takes 1–5 min between prompts—too long to ignore, too short to start something new.  Chad integrates your brainrot (X, IG, Stake, Tinder, etc) into your agentic coding workflow and helps to manage your context-switching. Less doom-scrolling. More shipping.

Kleiner Perkins
Kleiner Perkins@kleinerperkins·
Since our 1999 investment in Google, Kleiner Perkins has long partnered with teams building the web’s core infrastructure. Today, we are co-leading Parallel’s $100M Series A with Index Ventures. Founded by Parag Agrawal, @p0 is building the web for agents. The platform provides a native search API and index that can retrieve, organize, and rank tokens—not blue links—so AI systems can access and reason over accurate, current context. As part of the round, @mamoonha will join Parallel’s board. As @paraga puts it: “Agents aren’t issuing keywords. They declare intent and receive high-signal tokens.” Watch Mamoon’s conversation with Parag ⬇️
