Is anyone else going off on Sol this morning? Slow af and making the stupidest UI mistakes that are infuriating. Modals that can't be dismissed- using baseUi components without applying the CSS. OpenAi nerfing this model to accomodate demand for sure.

I’ve been using Codex to build daff.app, and it’s been so much fun experimenting with all the new features the team keeps pushing out. I’m working on a huge design update with Sol right now, and what it’s capable of on the design side is seriously impressive.

I've been using it as a prototyping sandbox for my agent and it's been awesome. When agents know they have their own sandbox they iterate fast without wasting tokens doing build checks and other nonsense

If you're like me and were confused by GPT 5.6's naming convention, here's how to remember: - Sol (sun) - largest celestial body in the series - Terra (earth) - mid-size celestial body in the series - Luna (moon) - smallest celestial body in the series I'd still prefer high, medium, and low, but I get the analogy now.

@AdamFigma Hey Adam, some of the tests didn't appear to have correct answers; the closest right answer were the shapes but not the color match. Failed and had to start over, but just bounced. I was only curious to try after Codex suggested it.

Apparently I'm allowed to talk about GPT-5.6 now? It's a damn good model. Not quite as "smart" as Fable, but it is incredibly capable. Fixed all the problems I had with GPT-5.5. It is incredibly determined. Will run for a day without even using a /goal. It understands subagents incredibly well and is great at orchestrating. It's super pleasant in use cases like OpenClaw and Hermes Agent. It knows iOS dev incredibly well. It has rough edges too, but FAR fewer than 5.5 did. For many things, gpt-5.6-sol will become my obvious default. I will share a lot more soon 🫡

At the time, nothing else came close. Headless. Accessible. Composable. Fast forward a few years and the team who built Radix are building something new: Base UI.

@jxnlco Plugins are fine, but Im confused what the direction with MCPs are- they are now buried in the settings menu instead of being classed together with plugins. I have made good use of the codex security plugin, design, and diagnose plugins and skill search.
