Instead of trying to earn more votes, Republican officials across the South are executing a systematic effort to dismantle Black political representation in Congress through gerrymandering.
It's time for broad reforms to end this kind of gerrymandering for good.

Portland landlords should offer free rent and charge for services. Fully itemize costs like taxes, insurance, water/sewer, common utilities, plowing, lawn care, and maintenance. Then, have an owner's fee tied to the city's hourly livable minimum wage. They'd come out ahead.

Portland Socialists Target Property Owners Democratic Socialists passed rent control which allows the city to squeeze out property owners by increasing property taxes, regulation, fines - while controlling what the public can charge for rent. As the masked Leftists demand MORE of their dimes, an audit shows that 25% are now over the "legal" rent limit set by an unelected council of Socialists. *The irony of is that the very auditors and unelected rent control board say that landlords are stealing THEIR money.

I kind of like this idea, with a slight twist.
Congress should get a base salary of $45k, with commissions paid, up to their current full salary, based on performance, and potential for an annual bonus.
Commissions and bonuses would be based on achieving campaign promises.

The Supreme Court of the United States has now joined the Supreme Court of Virginia in choosing to nullify an election and the votes of more than three million Virginians.
These Virginians made their voices heard — casting their ballots in good faith to push back against a President who said he’s “entitled” to more seats in Congress before voters go to the polls.
As Governor, I will make sure voters know when and how to cast their votes this year. Because our votes are how we choose the representation we deserve.

If you work for a broker/dealer (financial institution), you must disclose all investment accounts and get permission to buy and sell, which is heavily restricted. It should be no different for Congress. @ewarren should champion this.

Just a friendly warning. We don’t even make $200k per year in Congress despite working nearly 140 days. If we aren’t properly compensated, a lot of us will go to the private sector and you will be left with some real idiots in Congress.

That is completely unacceptable.
The only oath of allegiance a member of Congress should swear is to the United States of America.
My “Disqualifying Dual Loyalty Act” makes it clear: if you want to serve in Congress, your only citizenship must be American.

This wasn’t because everyone hates you. I mean, they do, but this vote was a procedural catastrophe that violated Article XII of your own Constitution so horrendously, it had to be nullified almost immediately, to restore the sanctity of your bastardized state.

This is a teachable moment as to EXACTLY why our Constitutional Republic is greater than a democracy. Far greater, in fact. And it's not even close.
Ignoring the rule of law, which is EXACTLY what the Governor is advocating for here, to instead rule by the whim of an unchecked majority, which, in this case, is seeking to act in opposition to the Constitution (state and federal), is the very antithesis of everything we stand for.
And if you don't understand why this is critically important to the very fabric of our Republic, which is rooted in protecting minority and individual rights from the tyranny of the majority, I really don't know what to tell you at this point. You're either poorly educated or stupid ...if not both.
