@TruckyMcTrckFce @Obscurity1234 @CostaKapo You are correct. The US imports 96% of synthetic oil, which is affected by Hormuz. We have Group I and Group II engine oil refineries, but few Group III refineries necessary to create the synthetic oil that manufacturers now required in some engines.

We import 96% of our synthetic oil from other nations, with a majority of it coming from a refinery that was struck with missiles. Another large chunk comes from SKorea, who gets a lot of its oil from the Strait.

And before Walmart I had visited two other parts stores, neither had her (rather common) size. Does this shortage also affect air filters or was that just a regional burp?
