Just finished reading Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky Was a bit more about spiders than I was anticipating, but has to be one of the best contemporary science fiction novels I’ve read😅 Anyone have any other recommendations for recently written sci-fi (say written in the last 20 years)?

@cdubbonline I didn't see this one in person... However I agree with you on the primary suite. Buyers also *love* that neighborhood. I'm surprised this one got so crazy since it is usually the 3 beds, 2 baths on the same floor that are the most bid up.

The norm (historically) in San Francisco is usually two weekends of open houses and then offer date But increasingly it’s now truncated to one weekend and then offer date Why? Things are selling so fast that sellers don’t want to lose interested parties who might offer on something else And buyers don’t want to pass up on offering on a place they might win today, versus waiting two weeks to offer on a place they might not win

George R.R. Martin was asked about 'The Winds of Winter' 📖 • He has ~1,100 pages finished • Will never give up writing it — 'I would hate that. It would feel like a total failure to me. I want to finish' • There are no plans for a writer to take over if he dies — it would remain unfinished • It could become the longest book in the series if he includes everything he wants • Often rewrites chapters, and sometimes scraps material he loves because it would change the book • He's also juggling work on two new 'Dunk and Egg' stories and 'Fire & Blood 2' "I do think if I can just get some of these other things off my back, I could finish 'The Winds of Winter' pretty soon. It’s been made clear to me that Winds is the priority, but … I don’t know. Sometimes I’m not in the mood for that ... I'm so far behind on everything" (via @THR)

@conorsen @PotomacRC Still too high. Gotta get under 6 (preferably 5 and under). Look at Spring/Summer 2022; that’s when the switch flipped. Rates haven’t even dropped that much from a year ago (50 bips?). If we see Spring 2026 with rates under 6% I would not be surprised at a sharp reversal.

This #Nashville homebuilder quote from our October survey hits a few themes we see lately: 1) big builder rate buydowns, 2) smaller builders struggling in tougher markets, 3) investors finding deals that pencil again. “National builders offering 6 to 9 points to meet sales goals. Small builders going out of business and can’t sell inventory homes. Build-to-rent 'low-priced' single-family and townhomes in high demand from institutions.”
