ETH doesn't need to directly compete with nation-state money / fiat both will co-exist Ethereum creates its own decentralized economy with ETH as its base currency in parallel to traditional economies, and in coming decades we may see significant overlap between them

America "won the Internet" by being mostly laissez faire but the approach to crypto has been a lot more murky a comparatively startling amount of innovation is happening overseas US relevance in the world is at risk without more formal accommodation #FreeCrypto

A few potential levels: (1) X gov forum posts, (2) announcing yourself as a delegate, (3) voting X times, (4) getting X number of votes delegated to you, (5) passing a proposal

@Flynnjamm I like it! Pass a proposal on UNI/COMP/AAVE is elite level so requires a separate category. For basic level, (1) announce yourself as delegate (2) vote 5 times (3) make 3 posts on the governance forum Problem with 3 is that it isn't on-chain

new retail will learn about #DeFi when: 1) crypto-natives start to rotate into DeFi from ETH and BTC 2) prices start to pump 3) retail chases the pump 4) retail starts to use some of the services on L2s (still expected soon™) i'm quietly accumulating, but ofc not selling ETH
