I've lived in CD2 more recently than Salt Lake Blake has.

@mjolley22 Remind me which congressional district do you live in? Seems like you’re overly interested in CD2 when you don’t live there as well.

@AJamesMcCarthy Rookie question. Why do so many seem to be the same size, rather than a random distribution according to their distance?

My telescope in Texas is currently pointed at this: A galaxy cluster. I digitally removed the relatively few stars to give you a look at intergalactic space. Every object in this photo is another galaxy, containing trillions of planets. Space is incomprehensibly huge.

Mormon Women for Ethical Government (@mormonweg) is quite upset that I dedicated a presentation to them to a Utahn Republican Women's group. They called it "absolutely false." I don't know what they are alleging is false, like Bill Kristol is among their biggest donors (as @labtechleigh found), or that their co-executive director Jen Thomas represents MWEG in a meeting series as part of a fractal ecosystem to transform America's governance. But in the spirit of last year's thread on @CODEPINK , I will do a 100% factual, zero opinion, receipt-based thread on MWEG to clear the air. As MWEG said - "be kind, but be direct." 💕💕💕💕

@BradEBonham Allowing some people to vote later than other people never made sense. It's not Equal Protection. And postal union members are not sworn election officials who should be custodians of marked ballots.

@ClayTravis This is why it's hard for a third party to judge a situation like that.

I think most kids want to be coached hard. Not all, but most. Most of the problems we have in society doesn’t come from pushing kids too much, it comes from coddling them. Kids aren’t fragile, too often we treat them like they are:

@avidseries @MadelaineLucyH You two agree that the ads aren’t real and that they pander to an illusion. Same with that Italian sun hat ad. Virtually none of those hats will ever see Italy.

In 2018, interracial couples in ads were rare. Within a few years, they would become ubiquitous. The size of this shift — which accompanied the BLM hysteria and moral panic — suggests it was not organic, but rather a top-down phenomenon driven by a cohort of people who saw an opportunity to morally grandstand and feel good about themselves (the same self-congratulatory tone we see in your tweet above). Data of interracial marriages shows only a tiny percentage of black-white unions. (While Asian-white and Hispanic-white marriages are far more common.) But the US and UK advertising industries seem dead set on distorting this reality — by a lot. Despite you believe, it's not the "racists" who are engaged in unreality here.

Ok I can explain this to you, because unlike this bunch of losers I’ve worked in marketing. What we market to you is this: An identity you want > A product > A sale Doesn’t matter if it’s a teapot or a banking app. That’s what you do with an ad. Does it make you feel smart? Prestigious? In on the joke? Cool? Safe? That’s how advertisers think. If I say “This hat is cool, and good!” that’s a 2/10 ad. If I say “This hat is the hat you wear on holiday this year when the warm Italian sun floods the vineyards” that’s already put the hat on your head and a luxury holiday. Now, most people do not like racism. I know that’ll shock you because of Elon’s whack algorithm, but most people identify as “not a racist”. Easiest way to say to someone, look how open minded we are, and you are just like us? Diversity in an ad. It’s just sales. You’re just dumb so you see an “agenda”.

The modern secular understanding of the first amendment is so comically distorted that it would be unrecognizable to the founders Even after 1A America was a land of state churches, blasphemy laws, and blue laws It’s not whether a religion will dominate, but which

Have you noticed how many times @ZohranKMamdani has promoted Islam since he became mayor of NYC? Is this a manifestation of "freedom of religion" or a violation of the separation of religion (church) and state? Does your freedom of religion supersede our rights to be free from your religion?

@BradEBonham The state of Utah should provide curriculum materials and freely cooperate with access to school facilities, student activities and classroom testing. Make home class as an extension of the classroom a flexible option for parents.

Fun fact about me: I think signature verification is one of the weakest ways to prove someone is who they say they are. We’re literally relying on a scribble… ultimately judged by a human… and calling that secure. If we’re serious about election integrity, it’s pretty simple: Verified ID. Every time.

I've never listened to a podcast for more than 3 or 4 minutes. I don't have the patience to listen to people ramble on while I wait for them to talk about something I might be interested in. I'm not sure there's ever been a less efficient way to transmit information.

@gopTODD We had 25 in Providence but down from 40 and a max of 100. We are losing a valuable community-building civic event because of the paid signature workaround. It's sad to watch but the Utah Senate seems okay with it.
