People still think BlueCo will suddenly hand power to a manager when every move since takeover has been recruitment-first and buy-to-sell. Alonso wouldn’t change the model, he would fit into it. If they truly wanted to change direction they wouldn’t have sacked Maresca.

Chelsea have a chance to win back the support of the fans and players with the hiring of Alonso, they are big ifs, but what if they do tweak the model and cede more control to the manager? the model can be tweaked contrary to twitter financial experts, mainly through sales, and it seems that some actually never truly want the club to change because the content wouldn't be there for them otherwise, they would actually have to support Chelsea again!

Chelsea need a Centre Back who's able to play CCB/LCB, partner Levi Colwill, can be calm or aggressive, is a leader, has PL experience. Which is why my mind changed to Nathan Collins, ticks all the above, would be a Joao Pedro like signing for the defence next season.

Don't know how many Chelsea fans saw the Everton game today, but again left impressed with Tyrique George. Even with the few minutes he's getting there, it really looks like he's developing very fast and very well. Top cameo today, don't give up on him.

@bobbyfairview We had one game a week and still struggled under poch ,palmer literally saved us from relegation that season , not forgetting we were benefiting from Thiago silva experience as well . this will go down bad especially with a more inexperienced head coach at the helm . sad times.

I like Felipe Luis, he understands what playing for Chelsea is like, he remembers what the standard is meant to be. He’s been very successful in South America. I’ve been very impressed by him, but I think this job is coming too soon.
