I think the biggest problem with the acceptance of the metric system in the US is that people just keep trying to convert.
There is no need to convert.
Just take a week and get used to a few different numbers.

I've been playing video games since I was like 5 so I'm able to rely on my experience, but playing with people who just don't play games really makes me think about how something that comes naturally to me, like the ability to "read" a level, is a skill you need to work at

They never complained about not knowing what “jump” or “punch” means. They just press the button and see the action and go “oh that’s what jump means in English”

@ItzKaosSzn @serenityxzz @permavirgin Tuning IRL is meant to be done over hundreds of laps. So the driver comes back and says the car is understeery then you adjust the things that cause understeer. It’s just difficult to do that in a video game

@Sebasti03114551 @permavirgin With manual if you’re under steering or oversteering you have the ability to shift down or up to correct. With automatic you have to brake to do that, it’s all about control. But yeah it takes practice until you naturally know what gear you want to be in

@permavirgin I noticed that I'm slightly faster with manual driving, but I still suck anyway. I just love automatic driving because it helps me to focus on curves instead of worrying in which gear I should be and how or when to shift up or down

@almanQT_ @permavirgin Download the app ForzaTune and put whatever upgrades you want. You can get it close enough and then auto upgrade to reach a round number like 800. Then use ForzaTune and it gives you a pretty competitive setup

@tcmccarthy_ @Gryffix Hi. Electricity is currently incredibly expensive in the UK. Many cannot afford to run their heating in the winter, nevermind purchase air conditioning units and run them. Many homes are too old have air conditioning properly installed without it costing thousands.
