I have EXCITING news! We are releasing Trucker Weather Outlooks soon! :)
This is something we’ve been working on to help truck drivers and oversized vehicles quickly identify where travel could become dangerous due to weather.
Simple, clean, and focused on what matters most:

This is still experimental and not live on the website just yet, but it will be very soon.

A well-mixed environment is great for hail, but too much, and CAPE begins to decrease. Pretty much what happened today. There were still some pretty decent hailers, but likely not 30# worthy.

Today is a prime example of UH≠tornadoes. Very well-mixed low-levels will create high-based storms, and while a few storms may exhibit robust mesocyclones, they will struggle to reach toward the surface, favoring more large hail than tornadoes.
