Ireland and Spain are the two largest Israel-hating countries in Europe. Here is what Douglas Murray said about Ireland: As for the Irish obsession with Israel . . , I want to hear Ireland talk about Israel probably Last among all things in this life. Ireland, Never forget, decided that in the 20th century, that in the war against Nazi fascism it should be neutral and it forbade its ports even being used by the Royal Navy in its fight against Adolf Hitler, and many thousands of British servicemen went to the bottom of the ocean because of the Irish people and Irish governments obscene love of Adolf Hitler. I will not hear in the 21st century, the descendants of Hitler-Lovers in Ireland telling me about the Jewish state’s right to exist. I would rather hear Hamas sing than hear Irish politicians talking about Jews. They have no damn right. They've done nothing in their history that gives them the right to tell the Jewish people what they should do in their historic homeland.

Let's be clear The Falkland Islands have only ever been British When discovered in 1692, they were then permanently settled in 1833. The only ever inhabitants have been today's Falklanders. People of British origin. For 10 generations Before them - nobody Since them - nobody They held a referendum in 2013 99.8% voted to remain a British Overseas Territory There are no ifs. No buts. Those islands are British. Those islands are for the Falklanders They must remain so Argentina screeching about wanting to take over islands 1230 miles from Buenos Aires is sheer aggression

England’s players aren’t the problem. They must take some responsibility but, really, they’re not the problem. A good group with some exceptional players. They have two of the top five scorers of this World Cup, Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, both world class. They have a winger in Anthony Gordon just bought by Barcelona who was troubling Argentina (and scoring) until taken off. A dynamic midfielder in Elliot Anderson bought for £116m who belied his relative youth to impress at his first senior tournament. Another £100m+ midfielder in Declan Rice, who fought valiantly even when it looked like a brief illness and a long, intense season caught up with him. Saka, Rogers and some of the defenders like the hugely promising O’Reilly. Good players.  A possession man in Kobbie Mainoo kicking his polished heels on the bench. Talents left behind like Wharton, Palmer, Foden, Alexander-Arnold, Scott and Gibbs-White. More coming through like Dowman. England have the players.

@OdohertyI64991 @alanbouse The good Friday agreement provides that anyone in Northern Ireland can elect to have an Irish passport, and therefore can elect to play under FAI.so they are well entitled to take an interest in FAI affairs.

Back from whence I came - delighted to be taking up an exciting new role at Donegal Daily. After 5 years, I filed my last piece for the Donegal Democrat/Donegal Live yesterday. Thanks to all of my colleagues over my time in Iconic Media during a changing, challenging period.

Strange the Ger Brennan incident is constantly used as a reference point. They are not the same. GB received a red. Donegal were not the aggressors on Saturday. Kerry have some power in the media. This feels more like a witch-hunt and an onslaught.

Kerry folks well within their right to boo Murphy all things considered. Donegal folks couldn’t really boo D Clifford for his dirty tricks in the first half because he never really had the ball after that.

You can blame Michael Murphy for this. When a player took hooks to the body and head last time they went at it, what do you expect. #GAA #Kerry #Donegal

Hefty bans for both Kerry and Donegal after that. Or will this all be forgotten because Armagh weren't involved?
