@cfryant @mattworkman It could have a billion likes and it wouldn’t matter. The 1st Superman 2025 trailer has 1.2 million likes. Super Mario Galaxy 1st trailer - 296k likes. Galaxy made $300M more (so far). I use GenAI. Likes don’t matter. Box office/streaming numbers do. AI movies have none of that.

@mattworkman If there’s a difference between oil and watercolor painting, stop motion in general and claymation, 2D digital animation and 2D traditional animation, there’s a difference between those and ai. You provided no proof of the “general public’s” view but gave a comment with 12 likes.

Nothing is as pretentious as people falling for this. The OP posted a real Monet and called it AI to shine a light. So many replies condemning this as “obvious AI slop.”

I count at least 16 people giving detailed reasons why the Monet is inferior to Monet, and then deleting their replies when they realize what they did. Some will say they were tricked, but in reality - they tricked themselves.

Pretty good bit (it's a detail of a real Monet). That said, I think people are not taking into account that a detail is not a picture and that a full painting by Monet would in fact not look like this
