@chriscfox Absolutely right. And when leaders fail to provide this support, the 'good culture' gets affected negatively.

A good culture can't beat a bad system. People can care about the customer, collaborate, be innovative & resourceful. But, if you fail to provide them with a clear & sound #BusinessStrategy & support in the form of systems (technological or not) and processes, they'll still fail.

Just listening to someone say "You don't decide culture on day 1". Do you decide it at all? Is culture an input or an outcome of everything you do?

@chriscfox Yes. Yes. And Yes. As with everything whether its writing or influencing. The same applies. 'Show don't tell.'

@changedesigns Yes, as a leader you can definitely influence behaviour by changing what you measure, etc. But if your own actions are not consistent with that then you just end up creating a toxic culture of politics and resentment.

@changedesigns Agreed. You can certainly decide how *you* want to do things. And you can decide what *you* do if what other people do does not meet your expectations. But I think that may be about it.
