1/5 Big news from Aguilar Lab! Check out our first preprint! We’ve developed a new prostate organoid model to crack the mystery of E. coli prostatitis, a common, tough-to-treat infection in men. Our model reveals how these bacteria get in and thrive. #UPEC #Organoids #UTI

Exciting advances in prostate cancer treatment at #ASCO24! ⚪️ JNJ-6420, a novel anti-hK2 Ab-based targeted #radiotherapy, shows promising results in heavily pretreated mCRPC patients. ⚪️ Despite notable adverse events, profound and durable responses were observed at ≥150 μCi doses. @ASCO @OncoAlert

@MSLee_MD @quanta_system Check this tweet from last year for the bag specifications (in comments) - you advance the bag through the nephroscope and extract the specimen a bit like a stone with a basket in semirigid ureteroscopy 😉 x.com/chariskalogiro…

Specimen collection after en-bloc resection - what is your favorite if the specimen is too big for in-toto cold loop extraction? In this case, I used a catch bag:

@JnsHerrmann @quanta_system This is a good one! Depends on patients preference. If it is a „single tumor in time and space“ I would go for bladder preservation, ph with triple-T. If a definite solution is warranted - robotic cx + neobladder.

@MSLee_MD @quanta_system Slow and steady through the urethra. Depends on tumor stiffness - good question though, sometimes it’s really fiddely. If the specimen is too big, I usually cut in in half with the laser and retrieve it in 2 pieces.
