Just so I understand. The green thinks they're going to retire selling all their inflated assets to the red.

If the U.K. wanted to be a successful and prosperous country, a party only has to copy what works around the world. They won’t, most politicians are losers, want power and control and trade shitty ideas for votes. But if I was the leader of a party: 1. Do everything I can to get energy prices as low as possible 2. Implement Swiss-style direct democracy 3. Develop a US-style constitution to embed basic rights such as free speech while limiting the power of government 4. Pay close attention to what has worked in Singapore, especially reducing corruption 5. Copy Estonia’s digital government and reduce bureaucracy 6. Implement low taxes & pro-business policies 7. Fix the borders, duh 8. Build prisons, release speech offenders and punish crime Fair, dynamic and prosperous. I’m literally a half wit with a podcast but this seems so obvious.

The US Treasury Secretary just spilled the beans that NATO's sacred Article 5 is a worthless, outdated pile of crap. NATO is toast.....

That moment when unelected EU President Ursula Von der Leyen, during her visit to Finland, was telling the audience that in Russia you would be arrested for protesting, while at that same moment, a protestor was being arrested.... 😂😂😂

This is incredible. Michael and Susan Dell just announced they are donating $6.25 billion to help 25 million children in America. "The Dells have committed to seed Trump Accounts with $250 for children who are 10 or under who were born before Jan. 1, 2025. According to Invest America, the pledged funds will cover 25 million children age 10 and under in ZIP codes with a median income of $150,000 or less." Very inspiring to see one of our country's best entrepreneurs do this. (h/t @HCuccinello)

World Jewish Congress President Ronald Lauder says "laws must be passed" to ban "anti-Semitism" in US schools, then takes aim at Tucker Carlson. "Big names w/ millions of followers" are telling "lies" that "Jews control the government, the media, our nation's foreign policy," he says. (Lauder opened the event by giving the WJC's "Theodor Herzl Award" to Elise Stefanik and John Fetterman for their service to Israel and opposition to anti-Semitism.)

@itsdeaann Why is keeping a government shutdown good? Do you think the US public cares more about federal workers being paid and the country running, or about the party the majority didn't vote for using that as leverage to get their own way regardless of the election?

Democrats in congress need to grow a spine or lose their seat. The response to a Tyrant (like Trump) can’t be to roll over in weakness. Either fight for the people and against Trump, or you’ll be fighting real hard to keep your seat come midterms.

@steve_hanke @AWCrooke This was each other’s leverage on each other. China meeds soy beans for calories and USA need rare earths. Seemed pretty even to me

Former British diplomat Alastair Crooke on how Xi took Trump to the cleaners in the "trade deal": "Xi got the deal. [China] has a near monopoly on the true tools and the methodology for actually extracting rare earths. What Trump got in the end was purchases of soybeans."

@JoeCarlasare @matty_ice_BTC @daveweisberger If repo rates stay high, would this not signal stress in the funding market, where the Fed may intervene with balance sheet expansion? I understand they will stop QT on Dec 1st and just cut rates which seems to have brought it down. But if it continued, would QE be the response?

For @daveweisberger Repos are inherently temporary and reversible operations. In an SRF repo, eligible counterparties (like primary dealers or depository institutions) deliver high-quality collateral (typically U.S. Treasury securities) to the Fed in exchange for cash reserves. This cash is loaned OVERNIGHT and must be repaid the next business day, along with a small interest payment at the preset repo rate (which is set at the top of the Fed's target range for the federal funds rate). Unlike QE, where the Fed purchases assets outright and holds them long-term, permanently expanding its balance sheet and increasing base money, a repo DOESNT add net liquidity to the system. The reserves created are extinguished when the transaction unwinds, resulting in zero permanent change to the overall level of reserves

This unelected EU bureaucrat clearly has no idea that the US sees Europe as expendable in its rivalry with China. Relying more on Washington for energy is sheer stupidity. Let’s face it, the EU is being run by clowns.... 🤡🤡🤡
Roberta Metsola@EP_President

Thank you @SecretaryWright for the warm welcome at the US Department of Energy in Washington, following our productive meeting in Brussels last month. Good discussions on Europe's moves to divert our remaining energy ties away from Russia and the EU's drive to make our regulation simpler and easier 🇪🇺🇺🇸

@themarketradar Really like your work. Think everyone expects volatility from bitcoin and more focused on multi month/year trend. Recently you seem to be doing a lot more short term sentiment style posts. Any reason? Is it due to potential pivots in your strategy as you use leverage?
