@Cardiinal_ @georgegalloway @SizweLo Yes, Hitchens was only outclassed by Scott Ritter and mark Danner but in a very narrow debate; these two were subject matter experts and Hitchens took them on in their backyard but lost. What galled him was because Galloway could match his breadth&capacity fo ferocious putdown

@skedeschi Honestly from what I’ve seen of Ireland lately you can’t convince me we would miss much of it was a crater. What does Ireland do for the world exactly, anyway? They sided with the Nazis and now they’re siding with the jihadis. They’re on the wrong side every time.

If the IRA had 150k missiles on England's border + fired 14k at civilians, or parachuted into Glastonbury, murdered teenagers, dragged their bodies through belfast with Irish people spitting on corpes, kidnapped babies and partied around their coffins - Ireland would be a crater.

Parts of Gaza, Lebanon and Iran are being flattened. Thousands of innocent children have been killed. Millions of people displaced. And before anyone says “But, Hamas, Hezbollah”…Imagine if Britain had done the same to Ireland after the IRA bombings? You cannot justify this.

Today, my book Infantry in Battle, 1733-1783, released. Why should you care? It changes the story of 18th century battles by telling the experiences of enlisted and NCOs, not just the officers. Battle looks different when you are enlisted. A thread for the infantrymen. 1/20

🤥🪖 Trump’s military playbook for Kharg, Hormuz: Three avenues to hell All signs point to the US gearing up to seize Iran’s Kharg and possibly islands in the Hormuz Strait. Which military scenarios are likely to occur? 🔴 US military buildup underway A ground force for an invasion of the Iranian islands may include:  ➡️ ~2,200 Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit ➡️ ~2,200 Marines from the 31st MEU ➡️ ~3,000 troops from the 82nd Airborne Division ➡️ additional forces from US Army Delta Force, SEAL TEAM-6, the 5th Special Forces Group, USAF 621st Devil Raiders, and the 75th Ranger Regiment  ➡️ in general, the US has around 50,000 troops in the region 🔴 Why Kharg? 📍Kharg hosts Iran’s main oil terminal — the nation's financial lifeline 📍A small, fixed target with defenses reportedly degraded by prior strikes  🔴 Why Hormuz Strait islands? 📍Taking the strait under control 📍Limit Iran’s ability to threaten tanker traffic  🔴 US military options 🔴Option 1: Economic chokehold via Kharg Island ➡️ Initial airstrikes to neutralize remaining military targets ➡️ Insert Marines and airborne troops via MV-22 Ospreys ➡️ Secure critical infrastructure, including the 5,922-foot runway at Kharg airport, to prevent Iranian reinforcement ➡️ Establish control of the island, freeze Iran’s oil exports, and force concessions in negotiations 🔴Option 2: Control the Strait of Hormuz ➡️ Coordinated Marine amphibious landings + heavy airpower  ➡️ Seize key islands around the strait: Qeshm, Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb  ➡️ Capture strategic coastal zones: Bandar Abbas and Jask  ➡️ Create a multi-kilometer buffer zone to protect shipping and suppress Iranian missile/drone threats  🔴Option 3: Option 1 combined with Option 2 for broader strategic impact 🔴 Why all three options are a recipe for disaster 🌏Kharg and Hormuz islands sit close to Iran and are highly exposed to missiles, drones, and fast-attack craft  🌏Seizing the islands and strategic coastal zones would incur casualties; holding them would be even costlier  🌏Air and sea resupply would face constant Iranian strikes from missiles and drones  🌏US forces could be trapped and neutralized before achieving any economic or strategic objectives

This has got to be real painful to a few in West ... ‼️🇮🇷🛢 Iran's oil sales revenue has sharply increased, and it remains the only exporter through the Strait of Hormuz, — Bloomberg ▪️Iran's exports in March remained close to pre-war levels — about 1.6 million barrels per day. ▪️Tankers with Iranian oil continue to be loaded at the Kharg terminal and exit the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz. ▪️At the same time, oil prices have risen, and the discount on Iranian oil relative to the international benchmark Brent has dropped to $2.10 per barrel — this is the lowest level in almost a year. ▪️Iran has likely earned hundreds of millions of dollars in additional revenue from oil sales since the beginning of the war.

I had the honour of speaking to a group of Holocaust survivors last year and they said the atmosphere in London was like 1930s Germany. You look at the Greens’ rhetoric, and you look at the pro-Iranian regime march in London this weekend… We're there. What do we do now?

My statement re Prohibiting the Latin Patriarch of entering Church of Holy Sepulcher on Palm Sunday: While all Holy sites in the Old City are closed due to safety concerns for mass gatherings including the Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulcher and Al Aqsa Mosque, the action today by the Israel Nat'l Police to deny Latin Patriarch Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa and 3 other priests from entering the Church to offer a blessing on Palm Sunday is an unfortunate overreach already having major repercussions around the world.  Home Front Command Guidelines restrict any gatherings to 50 people or less.  The 4 representatives of the Catholic Church were well below that restriction.  Statements from the Gov't of Israel indicate the action to prohibit Cardinal Pizzaballa entry to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher were for safety reasons, but churches, synagogues, and mosques throughout Jerusalem have met with the restrictions of 50 or less.  For the Patriarch to be barred from entry to the Church on Palm Sunday for a private ceremony is difficult to understand or justify. Israel has indicated it will work with the Patriarch to accommodate a safe means of carrying out Holy Week activities.

Before I ever converted, I was a Catholic who read the Bible closely, and I couldn’t ignore what it said. God made a covenant with Israel, not metaphorical, not replaceable, not expired. Becoming Jewish didn’t create my belief in Israel, it confirmed it. Zionism, to me, isn’t political first, it’s biblical, it’s historical, it’s the story of a people and a promise that never disappeared, no matter how many tried to erase it. I didn’t arrive here by accident, I read, I studied, and I followed the truth where it led me. Standing with Israel isn’t a trend, it’s conviction. Shavua tov!

There are no Jewish rape gangs. The Jews are a civilised community. Muslims are evil. Islam is just a sex cult that advocates violence, rape, pedophilia, slavery and worse. It seems to dominate and replace. You will never be welcome like Jews, Hindus, Sikhs and Eastern Europeans. Muslims are the shit on our shoes. We need to scrape you off and throw you out.

The first Muslim nursery in Britain. It's beautiful. Before Restore Britain and Reform supporters moan and claim “we’re taking over”…… Please remember the Jewish community in London and Golders Green, have their own police service, ambulance service, schools, social care, social housing, dentists and doctors all operating in Britain. I don’t have a problem with it but it’s unfair we’re treated differently.

The Church of England (Anglican) was created in the 1530s when King Henry VIII broke with the Roman Catholic Church. The primary trigger was Pope Clement VII’s refusal to grant Henry an annulment of his marriage to Catherine of Aragon, who had not produced a male heir. Henry sought to marry Anne Boleyn and secure the Tudor succession. In response, Parliament passed the Act of Supremacy in 1534, declaring Henry the Supreme Head of the Church of England and rejecting papal authority. While initially driven by political and personal motives rather than theology, this separation laid the foundation for the Anglican tradition, which later incorporated Protestant reforms under Edward VI and Elizabeth I.
