You know how we thought we could relax in November-well how about never. For better or worse we won’t be storming the beaches save democracy but will have to fight the swill of misinformation and a party that no longer believes in democracy.#Postcardstovoters & contribute & canvas

Israel killed Malak in Saida, South Lebanon. Not a fighter. Not a threat. A mother. Devoted to raising her 8-year-old son alone. Now her child waits for a mother who will never come home again.

@RegentHubbard Maybe denying genocide is unbecoming? Sexual torture in prisons is generally considered bad!? Shooting children wasn’t something that was supposed to be ok? So why is what he said wrong because that appears to be what you are saying.

While I wasn’t there yesterday to see it in person, what I have seen is incredibly troubling and disappointing. It is very difficult to execute meaningful consequences on tenured faculty but as a leader I can help set the tone and expectations for their conduct. His conduct was unbecoming for a leader of the greatest university in the world. As the Board of the university we have an opportunity to make lasting changes that will change the course of this conduct. I look forward to that discussion with my colleagues on the Board of Regents and the university Administration.

@UMich Professor Derek Peterson shoutouts terrorist sympathizers during this morning’s commencement. Unbelievable.

And of course it’s the fifth circuit that decides for women everywhere in the country, Mifepristone no longer available unless you can pick it up in person. Reminder: in Dobbs, the court said this should be up to each state. That’s not what this does. washingtonpost.com/health/2026/05…

Memphis is the second Blackest big city in the country, and it’s about to be gerrymandered within an inch of its life so a white Republican can represent it in Congress. This was exactly the thing Congress was trying to address with the Voting Rights Act. tennesseelookout.com/2026/05/01/gov…

It’s so weird that every time SCOTUS declares racism to be no more than the Ghost of Voter Suppression Past, a bunch of states leap at the chance to do more racist voter suppression.

NEW: Following in Louisiana’s footsteps, Alabama tries to suspend its May congressional primaries to pass a new gerrymander before the midterms. Both states’ response come after SCOTUS ruled to make it far more difficult for minority voters to prove in court that a map is racially discriminatory. democracydocket.com/news-alerts/al…

Israel killed every single child in this photo in Lebanon over the past 48 hours alone. They were not combatants. They were children.

Israel is wiping out the historic monastery of the Salvatorian Sisters in Yaroun, South Lebanon — together with the school it housed. Not military sites. A monastery where nuns prayed. A school where children learned.

🚨 BREAKING: Israeli drone strike KILLS Al Jazeera correspondent Mohammed Wishah in Gaza! His car was directly targeted on al-Rashid Street west of Gaza City. Another truth-teller silenced. 262 Palestinian journalists and media workers dead since October 2023. Israel claims he was a "Hamas terrorist." Al Jazeera denies it he was a journalist doing his job. No accountability. No justice. Just more names on the list. The killing of journalists continues with impunity. When will the world stop looking away?

56% of all Black Americans live in the South. Outside of Virginia, they will have zero representation in Congress if things continue moving in this direction. Jim Crow Southern dictatorship has returned at the federal level.

I urge our state legislature to reconvene to redistrict another Republican seat in Memphis. It's essential to cement @realDonaldTrump’s agenda and the Golden Age of America. I've vowed to keep Tennessee a red state, and as Governor, I'll do everything I can to make this map a reality.

The violent lawlessness Netanyahu's government is fomenting in the West Bank has lethal consequences for innocent people. This month, 14-year-old Aws al-Naasan and 32-year-old Jihad Abu Naim were killed in an attack on a school in the village of al-Mughayyir. We owe it to them to pursue accountability, peace and dramatic changes to this untenable situation. bbc.com/news/articles/…
