We used #ControlRig to drive the slope warp on #Ciri & #Kelpie for the #Witcher4 #ue5 tech demo. I was able to give the rig to CDPR and they put it on all the NPCs. Kelpie used @kiaran_ritchie’s FBIK node to help the horse rigging not be so complex.

@kiaran_ritchie The Oblivion remake is proof gamers will use this if it works as advertised. It might be able to give old games new life too or extend to new generations.

@JohnnyB_222 @billassault Facebook was once a really cool and fun app at the start of social media. Look where it is now. I still think the idea of social media is great, but ruined by large pots of money. AI is no different, it’s going to be a money beast in 10 years, for better or worse. It’ll work out.

@JohnnyB_222 @billassault Yah AI won’t go anywhere , but it’s like all other technologies promising pie in the sky. We still have gas cars after the promise of hybrids and evs. Its superior car technology, but still isn’t affordable and sustainable. AI far from being practical on the scale needed imo.

@BestMovieMom It’s the photography. The composition is off , the lighting is flat and non existent. Bad vfx always comes down to bad photography. VFX artists can’t polish a turd.

@NilesSankey HCE is classic and holds up extremely well 👏but Halo 2 was superior to me in every way, lots of wow moments. Halo 3 barely remember and not sure why, that’s even with playing it recently again. It’s still amazing and I see the 3 games played together for the best experience.

I'm gunna be honest. A good number of us 2nd gen Bungie Halo devs felt this exact same way and "didn't love" the storytelling in H2.
(Halo1 easily had the best storytelling of the three main games)

What I learned at Pixar for creating fluid animation ⬇️
Focusing on your extremes and making sure each axis in both translations and rotation hits its extreme on different frames is what makes animation fluid. Also make sure the extremes of different parts of the body hit on different frames as well. Essentially this is how I think and approach animating drag and follow through and create arcs

@mattworkman Hot take. Current state of Gen AI won’t last, the tech will improve and the current round will become boring and old news as it all looks the same and is objectively bad right now. True innovation will be less recognizable, some amazing artists will utilize it and wow everyone.
