Remember a tweet from here a couple years ago around Glastonbury time saying “running around a field on pills isn’t going to solve your mid life crisis” lol or words to that effect. If it brings a bit of spice to someone’s otherwise mundane life then there’s no harm in it though

@JohnnyFitz1 Yeah, I'm just saying that football isn't a "meritocracy". It was back in the day when you actually had to actually win the European Cup to get into it. Lots of "football fans" don't know this. Ever done a pub footy quiz with "diehard fans". Lack of knowledge is embarrassing.

@cheedz05 I can name Brighton, Bournemouth, Fulham, Brentford and more who were nowhere near the Premier League in 1992-1993, but are now in the Premier League. There is no monopoly or right for any club to have an automatic right to be in the Premier League, just as Spurs might find out.

In 1992, the Premier League was literally formed as a breakaway league (essentially a domestic "Super League") because the top teams felt they deserved a bigger share of the TV money etc. Teams can finish 17th (my club, Spurs), yet still qualify for the Champions League...

@Alec2k25 Cobain wasn't 100% sure she knew what she was doing. He was a skinny (& androgynous looking) kid from a red neck area & things that weren't "macho enough" (e.g. poetry, writing, music) were mocked. Cobain hated his Dad too who was "macho". Biography of him called "Heaven".

@Alec2k25 Yeah, so Paul Merson drank heavily to overcome social anxiety (naturally a shy person). I've met him - really nice & funny guy. Kurt Cobain lost his virginity to a girl with special needs (he knew he'd die young). Also, had a very bad stomach problem. Partly why he did heroin.

@cheedz05 Yeah needing alcohol or drugs to feel confident is a bit sad really. And yeah some people completely transform when they’re intoxicated lol. I think that’s a pretty bad sign if someone becomes a different person under the influence, should be a tweak not a transformation

The UK is a strange place. The first thing some non Londoners say is "nobody in London talks to each other". There are 12m people in London & 32 boroughs. These cats probs know three people there. Some folk (incl Londoners) have nothing to say, so utter clichès to "fit in".

It's not £50. I've not been to Nandos that much, but you can get a half/full chicken & a drink for £20 (or less). Nobody forces anyone to get chips with it. Lots go for organic protein & how quick it is. It's quite popular for pre cinema or workplace lunchtime meals.

Sound analysis as per, but Harry Kane was originally a "10" as a kid. Also, Kane's record in open play vs elite nations is absolutely dire. He's a very similar player to Raul. As soon as Spain dropped Raul in 2008, they dominated football. Similar with France post Cantona too.

@hisbravestsoldr Tends to be white British women or some Caribbean folk. Some Caribbeans have Stockholm Syndrome. I read up on the Yorkshire Ripper after he died. I didn't realise he was being housed in a prison not far from my family home. Ronnie Kray had plenty of female fan mail in jail.
