#f2irpi7 Josie please don’t get a new B3. Your mom told me to I promise. I was very uncomfortable but she just kept calling me Josie which I took as signal to keep acting like Josie! That made me confused.

A1:
Susan Calvin when the men ask her how she solved Madarian’s death in less than 45 mins and at 80 years old when they couldn’t do it for days: Ah yes just my feminine intuition! My sixth sense! I bet even JN-5 could do it if she was developed enough!
#f2irpi4 A1: "I don't cook, I don't clean, I let my house do everything for me. I have such an easy life."

#f2irpi4 dale coba’s stepford wife 1.0. It just did nothing for her figure though. But look at those legs! Such beautiful legs. Now here’s to prototyping the stepford husband
#f2irpi3 brooo no way any of the men in stepford would eat that trifle they cannot handle anything with that much depth. They’d prob just call it dramatic or something then go out and buy a sheet cake.
@Jordon13771414 Woah that’s a cool interpretation I never thought to think about the emotionless expressions. I wonder if something from Tyler shields statement on images and peoples imagination could have something to do with it too.
#f2irpi2a The emotionalist look on the woman's face reminds me of the image of Kathy Griffin holding trumps head. The biggest reasons that these types of pictures and gifs are seen as sinister is the contrast of emotionlessness in serious situations. Her expression is unsettling
@a1an_1ee1 That’s so interesting I never thought about the light going out signaling death. I wonder if it’s the mystery within darkness or the nothingness itself that medusas tale embodies
#f2irpi2a When I first looked at the gif I was pretty confused. However, I eventually thought of the light representing life and the dark representing death. Medusa as a person may be dead, but her head is still very much alive. My gif shows what occurs when you look at Medusa.
@excelsior373 Hey! I largely agree and I think it would be interesting to look at the subtext of the song or the satirical nature of it like if she actually wants total control or if her past has driven her to this bc of how horrible people have been to her.
#f2irpi2b
A2: Coin Operated Boy reverses the trope shown in the myth of Medusa. In the story, a man has total control over a woman. In the song, a woman has total control over a man. They're a perfect partner, because they don't have autonomy or an opinion.
@cccjayrpi@DresdenDolls@amandapalmer#f2irpi2b this song reminds me of the first episode of I Dream of Jeannie. they both have romantic figures that bend at their will. They get frustrated and sees the tragedy but while Jeannie couldn’t compare to Tony’s fiancé, the singer thinks the coin is better than any real boy
@cccjayrpi#f2irpi2a This is reminiscent of Hilary Clinton’s “‘Nobody Said A Word' When It Was My Fake Severed Head” and the struggle for women to preserve a “professional” image including sometimes having to just walk away and turn the other cheek and hope for a better day.
@cccjayrpi A1 #f2irpi1 Hey! My name is Chieko and I’m from Poughkeepsie NY majoring in BME. A little fun fact about me is that I can memorize a deck of cards in any configuration. I was also ranked in minesweeper for a hot sec .
