For our family, this hospital is a tribute to Papa, Shri Shashi Ruia, whose life was anchored in service and compassion, and whose values continue to inspire us every day. पुण्यामध्ये सन 1958 मध्ये सेठ हिराचंद नेमचंद स्मारक ट्रस्टने पब्लिक चॅरिटेबल ट्रस्टच्या अंतर्गत SHND जैन बोर्डिंगची जागा खरेदी केली. त्या खरेदी खतामध्ये स्पष्टपणे नमूद आहे की ही जागा ज्या उद्देशाने घेण्यात आली - म्हणजेच शैक्षणिक आणि धार्मिक कार्यासाठी - त्याच उद्देशासाठी कायमस्वरूपी वापरली जावी. मात्र, आज या जागेची विक्री करून त्या मूळ उद्देशाशी प्रतारणा करण्यात येत आहे, ही गोष्ट अत्यंत चिंताजनक आहे. माननीय धर्मदाय आयुक्त, मुंबई यांच्या समोर या संदर्भातील अनेक प्रकरणे प्रलंबित असताना एवढ्या घाईघाईने या जागेच्या विक्रीचा निर्णय घेण्यात का आला, हा प्रश्न समाजाला पडला आहे. सार्वजनिक चॅरिटेबल ट्रस्टच्या घटनेत कुठेही जागा विक्रीबाबत तरतूद केलेली नाही. तरीसुद्धा या जागेच्या विक्रीस परवानगी देण्यात आली, यामागे नक्की कोणाचे हितसंबंध आहेत हे उघड व्हायला हवे. ट्रस्टकडे हॉस्टेल दुरुस्तीकरिता निधी नसल्याचे कारण देण्यात आले, पण मागील दोन वर्षांत ट्रस्टचे तब्बल चौदा कोटी रुपये अन्य कंपनीकडे वळवण्यात आले, ही बाब अधिकच संशयास्पद आहे. 1960 पासून या परिसरात असलेले भगवान महावीर दिगंबर जैन मंदिर आज धोक्यात आले आहे. मंदिराला तातडीने पोलिस सुरक्षा देण्यात यावी, अशी सर्वांची मागणी आहे. सदर वसतिगृह विक्रीच्या प्रक्रियेदरम्यान विद्यार्थ्यांना बाहेर काढून त्यांच्या शिक्षणाचे नुकसान करण्यात आले, हे अत्यंत वेदनादायी आहे. या निर्णयात सहभागी असलेल्या सर्वांचीतातडीने चौकशी करून त्यांच्यावर कठोर कारवाई करावी, अशी मागणी समाजातून होत आहे. याशिवाय बिरेश्वर क्रेडिट सोसायटीने ५० कोटी आणि बुलडाणा अर्बनने २० कोटी रुपये विकासकाला कर्ज देताना बोर्डिंगमधील भगवान महावीर मंदिर गहाण ठेवले, हे अत्यंत गंभीर प्रकरण आहे. कोणत्याही शहानिशा न करता असे कर्ज कोणाच्या दबावाखाली दिले गेले, याची तात्काळ चौकशी करून संबंधित संस्थांवर गुन्हे दाखल करणे आवश्यक आहे. १७ ऑक्टोबर रोजी हजारो जैन बांधव आणि गुरु महाराजांनी जिल्हाधिकारी कार्यालयावर भव्य मोर्चा काढून आपला संताप व्यक्त केला. या आंदोलनातील असंतोषाची दखल सरकार घेणार आहे का, हा प्रश्न आजही अनुत्तरित आहे. या संपूर्ण खरेदी-विक्रीच्या व्यवहारात नेमकं कोणाचं हित साधलं जाणार आहे, हे सरकारने पारदर्शकपणे स्पष्ट करावे. राज्याचे मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्रजी फडणवीस (@CMOMaharashtra, @Dev_Fadnavis) यांना विनंती आहे की, आपण कृपया या विषयामध्ये वैयक्तिक लक्ष घालून सेठ हिराचंद नेमचंद स्मारक ट्रस्ट विषयक प्रकरणावर माननीय धर्मदाय आयुक्त, मुंबई यांना तातडीने सुनावणी घ्यायला सांगावी तसेच व्यवहारावर त्वरित स्थगिती द्यावी, हीच सर्व जैन बांधवांची एकमुखी मागणी आहे. तसेच SHND जैन बोर्डिंगमध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांचा प्रवेश पुन्हा पूर्ववत सुरू करण्यात यावा, हीच खरी श्रद्धांजली त्या ट्रस्टच्या संस्थापकांना ठरेल🙏 कागदपत्रांसाठी खालील लिंकवर क्लिक करा: drive.google.com/drive/folders/…
