Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes announced £1.5 million will be provided to local authorities to grow Gaelic in communities where it is spoken.
Councils will be able to create areas of linguistic significance using new @scotgov guidance.

Labour refuse to remove the dangerous mandation power from the Pensions Bill - the Minister’s “short answer” was no.
But it's obvious: mandation must go. No government should control where your pensions are invested.

This is a remarkable table. It shows that to all intents and purposes the UK currently doesn’t have a navy it can deploy. It is a national scandal. But, of course, nobody — political or military — will be held accountable, much less sacked.

@LNER Wow……..did any one join up the two major LNER routes that the lounges would be closed at the same time? Nothing from ticketing to say they were going to be closed despite the now premium charge

@chipshopsauce At this time, we don’t have a confirmed opening date for Kings Cross. Currently, all we know is that it’s planned for Spring 2026. We're optimistic that the Edinburgh lounge will reopen this Saturday, but please stay tuned for any updates in case this changes.
