@BroadStBull It’s crazy that they are 0 for 6 in the finals since winning the cup. One stat that I tell people and they can’t believe it. 68 years old & losing hope before I’m gone. Poor Mr. Snider.

Chicago hadn’t started its run yet, and I think that’s a Cup that the Flyers should have won. Niemi was bad, but Leighton — who was terrific in the previous series — was even worse.

@BroadStBull @NHLFlyers In their defense the 6 straight finaks 1976-2010 they lost were to absolute juggernauts. Canadiens , Islanders , Oilers , Oilers , Red Wings , Blackhawks . That said the last 15 years were an absolute disgrace.

Honestly, I get why in real-time an official might be surprised by the fact that a player beat his own pass into the offensive zone.
What matters is they got it right eventually.
