@afneil There’s no bigger gap in the electorate market than what they have already got. They can’t out Green the Greens. They’ve already got the left of the old Tory vote. They’re obviously not going to get the Reform vote & the Labour vote fragments all over the political spectrum.

@afneil I think he’s still in the driving seat because they are now a v strong regional party in the central south & south west England. They win council seats there often. Gone are the days of them going on about PR & being THE alternative to Lab & Tory. I think the members know that.

@cezthesocialist This is really concerning. Young people are clearly not hearing any challenge to Green policies. They need to know the consequences of them for their future prosperity & security.

If Magyar pulls it off may challenge some narratives that only way to defeat authoritarian populism is a bold progressive platform. Magyar is building big tent left-right despite being fairly conservative. Suggests isn’t one size fits all & vision, narrative, leadership matter

@gu41257530 @LukeTryl That said, if Tisza turn out to be a wet version of the uniparty similar to Merkel and Cameron then I’ll be eating my words.

@gu41257530 @LukeTryl That’s an interesting analysis PK. I am just hoping that Tisza hold to their promise of mirroring current policy on immigration. My worry is that Orban is becoming more authoritarian and taking steps to remove free speech e.g. his increasing control of state media.

@choosername @jcwf1 @Robe5283 @JimLodge13 @gu41257530 @CharliePDG Thx m8 Seems like you have gone thru this yourself. They are part of the family, even if they are fur babies. We lost our cat 2.5 years ago and I still think about her every day. I know it’s the same for millions of others that have lost pets. I can only relate to my experience.

@YouGov You didn’t ask at what rate. If the question was Should people on benefits receive 85% discounts compared to families on low incomes not in receipt of benefits? I think you’d get very different results!

@choosername @justind56710121 @JimLodge13 @gu41257530 @jcwf1 @CharliePDG Even if warned about risks like housing collapse, economic damage or rising unemployment, many of these far left student activists wouldn’t care — they seem more driven by resentment towards middle-class wealth and pensioners than by consequences.

@gu41257530 @Luis_Cook1 @BexleyLabour My hope is that they get found out. That people see what the consequences will be for them re Green policies. The whole Muslim - Woke Trans alliance has got to crumble at some point too.

@Luis_Cook1 @BexleyLabour Change in the way Reform is acting in local councils is inevitable, because it is absolutely embarrassing and simply unaccaptable that they loose due to tactical voting in Thanet. It is okay to loose due to tactical voting in places like Gorton but not in East Thanet

@ElectionMapsUK If this is Margate Kent, then the country is lost. I’m running out of hope. I feel such a sense of loss and foreboding about what the country will be like in the near future. It’s such a shame, this country used to be so proud, peaceful and together.
