@GladeBertil Problemet med 18 år är att dessa personer då normalt fortfarande bor ihop med och försörjs av personer som eventuellt insisterar på ett kirurgiskt ingrepp. Vuxet självbestämmande förutsätter självständig försörjning.

Vill man ha en del av sitt könsorgan kirurgiskt avlägsnat utan medicinska skäl är det rimligt att man väntar tills man är myndig, och bekostar ingreppet själv.

Våra grannar har precis fått barn. Idag berättade de att de bokat in tid för att skära av vänstra mitt-tån på barnet. Barnet slipper drabbas av nageltrång på den tån och riskerar inte heller att få cancer i den tån, så det finns ju helt klart hälsofördelar. Man borde väl respektera deras övertygelse om trollen under huset, eller hur? Annars omöjliggör vi deras liv i enlighet med deras tro.

Detta gör att vi 1) inte kan välja den politiker vi vill ha och 2) att partiledningarna är i stort sett oberoende av partiernas medlemmar. För att bli politiker i Sverige måste man i etablerade partier börja som fjortis i ett politiskt ungdomsförbund. Sedan vara obrottsligt lojal i ett decennium eller så medan man armbågar sig fram i ungdomsförbundet. Sedan kan man bli koopterad till moderpartiet. When it comes to govt-mandated data collection there is little that people can do to protect themselves from inevitable data breaches. Ultimately the govt needs to stop mandating the collection of so much personal data, when we know that neither they nor companies can protect it.
