🚨🇪🇺🇺🇸 After France, the European Commission is now looking for alternatives to @Microsoft Teams. It just confirmed to be running a pilot with Matrix, an open source communication protocol, already used in some governments. The goal is (explicitly) to de-risk from the US and have a sovereign backup solution. Teams is currently broadly used at the Commission, Matrix would be preferred for secure communications and as a fallback. 📋I should soon compile a list of all the moves that replaced US tools with European alternatives.
