Hate when mfers say Komodo and Gekko are tourist spots I don't care. I come to Miami multiple times a year and those are always go-tos in my rotation I've been to pretty much every popular restaurant in Miami. Grutman spots hit different

if you’re coming to miami for the conference: lincoln road is your easiest food/shopping area, basically one street over for lunch nearby: - Osteria da fortunata, Italian spot from Rome - Orange Blossom, cute brunch/lunch garden vibe - Yardbird, classic Southern/American - Issabella’s, Mediterranean and easy for lunch - Bella Cuba, Cuban food because that’s a must while you’re here - Cvi.che 105, fire Peruvian for dinner: - Andres Carne de Res, newer Colombian steakhouse, fun vibe - MILA, trendy dinner spot - Casa Tua, upscale and intimate

@Thomas3Glen Don't be a skunt. Organs arent viable for more than a few minutes post mortem. Not sure if you're stupid or trying to be funny but even if she wasnt already dead you have a greater chance of losing organs in Miami than in Puerto Rico.

🔺️A tourist identified as 40-year-old Tamirah Yasmeen Dix, a resident of Atlanta, Georgia, died Saturday night after suffering an apparent incident while at a zipline in Orocovis, PR 🇵🇷 According to preliminary information, the woman allegedly received a heavy blow to the face as she was preparing to go down the zipline. Based on the account provided by her relatives to agents of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of Vega Baja, Dix completed the course and later reunited with them. Following the activity, the group went to have lunch, but the tourist stated she did not wanted to eat. Shortly after, she went to the bathroom, where she vomited. Given the deterioration of her health, her relatives chose to return to the hotel where they were staying in Dorado. While traveling along Highway PR-693, the woman’s condition worsened, leading them to call the 9-1-1 Emergency System. An ambulance intercepted the vehicle and transported the tourist to the Orlando Health Doctor Center hospital in Dorado, where doctors attempted to resuscitate her. Nevertheless, she was pronounced dead at nightfall. The body will be transported to the Institute of Forensic Sciences in Río Piedras, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. Rest in Power, beautiful.

If you spend more than 80% of your time in downtown, Brickell, or the beach, do not comment on how great Miami is because you do not know the real Miami. Miami has no nature (beach doesn’t count because it gets old), no intellectual places like museums, no dependable transportation system, and the people are rude and inconsiderate and really just grown children.

@raechellambert Love SF and not a huge miami fan, but you are kidding yourself if you think that there arent grifters galore and founders never participating in community in SF. As to the fake women founders dolling up for an event, yeah that's not happening SF.

Husband and I tried Miami for 1 year after living in SF and NYC tech scenes. Very top heavy - mostly successful founders and VCs who go to live in their nice houses and aren’t out there being part of the community Tons of larping founders - I got invited to some “female founder dinners” and every single woman showed up dressed for a kardashian wedding and had obviously spent all their time in the salon, not building a startup The grifting is real - we won Miami Hack Week in 2023. The $10k prize money did not exist and it took 6 months to even get a hold of the organizer. He never paid. When the next Miami hack week came around, I tried telling 3 people in the community. Organizer told them I was a liar and that I had been paid. This bullshit would never happen in SF or NYC. Miami hack week seems to have a new organizer now so I’m hopeful it’s being better managed.
