@UswitchUK I switched via your website on 03/03/26 but haven't had any confirmation from you or the new supplier. I'm concerned that it hasn't registered, how can I check this?
Student navigators at work in a Vickers Varsity T.1 aircraft of No. 2 ANS based at RAF Hullavington in the late 1960s.
I never managed a flight in a Varsity, but apparently I didn't miss much. They had a tendency to 'wallow' in turbulence, often causing much air sickness.🤢🤮
Feeling suitably wistful ahead of the last game of the season, even if it is at Chelmsford! @SomersetCCC win toss and bat. Goldsworthy in for Abell (concussion protocol) and Josh Thomas for Ben Green. A high scoring draw would suit both sides. Comm on usual BBC channels
How much the world has changed - 1950s 10 years after WW2 and UK had not a lot of money but we still had a huge Air Force - Enough planes to paint a few Black and perform Aerobatics - now we can't afford 9 x 40 year old Hawks - I was never a great fan of the two seat Hunter ..

My first Test match, and the accompanying scorecard. Botham made his Test debut, Boycott made his Test return, paid a quid to get in and sat on the grass, and the Queen turned up at tea...
@AnnieChave Ignore the naysayers Annie, you're doing a fantastic job. Unfortunately I'm in the wrong demographic to disprove them now but I've loved county cricket since being taken to the Weston festival aged about 12.
I didn’t realise what a sin it was to like county cricket until I’ve been called so many things in the last two weeks. The main agenda appears to be that I’m supporting old people. What a crazy mixed up world we live in.
I work my unpaid socks off to make cricket all inclusive
@jamesjhistory Good Q.
So many engineering marvels to choose, love to see the Kitty Hawk Flyer.
Or just more Spitfires! 😉
But my grandfather won a MiD as the bomb aimer in a Whitley.
So I'd love to see one in the air, or at all really.
Rail: industrial action over for now.
That's 25 days of national strikes in the last 200.
Could the brotherhood of Tories and railway unions that campaigned successfully for Brexit now be in danger of permanently trashing the reputation of travel by train?

@flying_boatman@clark_aviation The wings were too short (I think so that it could fit in the hangars of the time). The length of the main gear legs gave the wings increased incidence and therefore greater lift.
A great shot of the British bomber, the Short Stirling.
Its size is enhanced by the diminutive female Air Transport Auxiliary pilot, who had just delivered it. Whilst these brave women flew many military aircraft solo, the Stirling required the assistance of a flight engineer.
Huge congratulations to England & commiserations to Pakistan who were unlucky to loose their key bowler.
1st thoughts - what a huge waste of money the HPR was. We’ve never been so successful - only thing that could scupper it is concentrating on a format no one plays! #kneejerk
