Update📌 Court trial has been postponed to the 19th of May at 0830hrs. Victory is certain!
ZINASU🇿🇼@Zinasuzim

Two of our comrades will appear tomorrow at the Chinhoyi Magistrates Court. Academic freedom is non negotiable and students' right to freedom of expression must never be tampered with. The two are charged with disorderly conduct. These charges stem from an incident where they challenged a staged gathering intended to falsely claim that students at Chinhoyi University of Technology fully support #CAB3. Efforts to paint a false narrative of students support shall never go unchallenged. Our fight remains rooted in restoring students' urgency in the fight for academic freedom and social justice. We will fill Chinhoyi Magistrates Court in full solidarity. Amandla!

In any normal country, Parliament would demand that the President’s office account for the very public role of a private citizen in official engagements. What security clearance does he have, and on what basis? What oath has he sworn to protect Zimbabwe’s National Interest? Under Mnangagwa, the Zimbabwean State has been dangerously informalised, official protocols discarded, statecraft dumbed down, and the dignity and integrity of the Office of the President reduced to that of a Temu mafia don! Contrary to @jahprayzah’s hit song, hazvisisina kana chiremerera!

Clearly Zanu Pf is above the law. Anyone from the opposition who tries to follow the law by informing the policing command about impending meetings is automatically denied. The reasons cited for denying our meetings are both flimsy and unsubstantiated.

And people said I was exaggerating when I said #CAB3 opens the door to perpetual extensions. Once we allow Parliament to extend its own term once, what stops them from continuing to do so? If we don’t stop this, we might never have another election. #NoToCAB3

Don’t Promise 2030, Deliver Now Or The People Get Angry, Botswana President Tells ZANU PF In A Polite Way By Isaac Makomichi Botswana’s President just told ZANU PF what ministers won’t say to their bosses. But remember: Botswana has one main mineral, yet their economy is stable. What is their secret? Their leaders don’t ask for more time in office to deliver results. They deliver within the term they have. Speaking live in Harare at the 5th Bi-National Commission, he said: “Revolution is an episode of convulsive political transformation. Compressed in time. And concentrated in target.” Then came the warning: “The revolution is not something pleasant. It's not a walk in the park. It's not a charming tea party. It involves blood and sweat. It involves greater determination.” “We are not going to keep promising our people jobs, transformed lives and livelihoods for an inordinate amount of time and keep postponing. They'll get angry. They will get enraged.” “So we must deliver within some temporal horizon… If anybody says something will take two years, let us commit ourselves to doing it in two days or less. We must cut the timelines considerably and that's what we came here to commit ourselves to.” This speech has flooded social media across Zimbabwe. People are saying the government must focus on solutions, not spend hundreds of millions of dollars promoting Bill No. 3. In Botswana they don’t have Bill No. 3. They use their money to pay civil servants and buy medicine for hospitals. It’s high time politicians spent their energy on delivering results instead of extending terms of office. Vice President Chiwenga has also been talking about delivering results rather than focusing on Bill No. 3. He has been vocal in pressing the government to use national resources to benefit the people, not on CAB3.@ZANUPF_Official @LynneStactia @nickmangwana @TembaMliswa

CAB3 is not a term limit extension but cancellation of elections. The last time the majority were denied a vote it ended in a Chumurenga. Nevermind the noise from Zanupf they don't know much. Last time they endorsed to fire a Vice President only to dance around him days later. PROTECT AND DEFEND YOUR VOTING RIGHT. #OneManOneVote

They assaulted Professor Madhuku recently in the presence of the @PoliceZimbabwe ,but noone has been arrested. The ZRP looked aside. They assaulted Douglas Coltat in view of cameras from all angles, but @PoliceZimbabwe is dragging its feet to act! Names were supplied too, but they seem unconcerned or maybe too busy. But now they want to deal with that toxicity by extending the electoral cycle 🤦‍♀️

10. If there's any genuine concern on stability, then do the following: i. Strengthen state institutions ii. Ensure electoral integrity iii. Depoliticize (defactionalize) state institutions. Amendment that does not attend to these issues is a product of continued manipulation

The history of our Revolution was written in blood in the forests of Mozambique, in the camps of Zambia, in the trenches of this very soil we call Zimbabwe. It was not written in boardrooms. It was not written by those who discovered ZANU-PF after independence, after the land, after the comfort. It cannot and will not be rewritten by those who were never part of it. I have watched with deep concern as a purge quietly unfolds within the ranks of the ruling party. A systematic, calculated purge targeting precisely those members whose liberation credentials are beyond question. Men and women who gave their youth, their bodies, and in many cases their families to this struggle. This must stop. Forthwith. To the leadership of ZANU-PF, I say this with the full weight of my service and my conscience.Reckless utterances by politicians within the ruling party are dangerous. They do not just wound individuals they wound the institutional memory of the revolution itself. When you silence a liberation fighter, you do not silence a person. You silence history. We did not fight Ian Smith so that our own would one day be purged by opportunists wearing the party card as a costume.I urge restraint. I urge wisdom. And I urge those driving this agenda to remember. we are still here. We are watching. And we remember everything. Retired Lieutenant General Winston Sigauke Mapuranga.

If a person can be denied bail for a crime involving damage of a $10 window pane - committed in no aggravating circumstances, then what would happen to a murder charge. Yet bail is a right. This is not the law, they teach in Zim colleges.

This week, we lost a comrade, someone we walked with in this long and difficult journey of struggle. He was young, full of life, taken from us by unknown assailants in a hit-and-run. He served the organisation with loyalty and dedication. I write this in deep pain, reflecting on the many comrades we have buried in this already difficult struggle for change. Each loss is a wound, a cost we continue to bear. But beyond the pain comrades, it places a huge responsibility in our shoulders. It calls on us, together, to advance the struggle with renewed purpose. It imposes an ideological, moral and generational obligation, to reject stagnation, to guard against hubris, and to never approach the situation at home with a carefree attitude. We owe it to those we have lost to remain steadfast, disciplined, and committed to the cause they stood for. Either way comrades,we fight! Fly high Mabara 🕊️
