Nintendo Switch 2 ship another 7.01m units, now over 17.37m units in 7 months. It’s the best 3rd quarter for any Nintendo system, surpassing Wii’s 3.43m units. Nintendo forecast 19m units shipped by March 2026 (+1.63m units).

I think this is the middle ground we're going to start seeing over time, as developers start to realise using genAI for game art is never going to pass muster with players. I think the general consensus will become "efficiency is fine, creativity is not"
