@volvocars Does the new Volvo Car UX (Update 5.0.5) shrink CarPlay as shown here? Please provide an option to turn off the Google Assistant bar that is taking up so much space in the new UI. Is the update mandatory? Can I instruct the dealer not to apply it? What benefits does the update offer CarPlay users?

@bradmillscan Have you tried anthropics competitor that was just released? If it’s anywhere as good as Claude code it may save you headaches

Last night my OpenClaw agent undid all of the secrets work we did yesterday... I went to bed around 10 PM & overnight a 2nd instance of OpenClaw undid the work we did (!?) and migrated away from the gateway my terminal is connected to. I have no clue what's going on...

2 hours into try trying to get my OpenClaw agent to use the Secrets feature to not put passwords in plaintext. It boggles my mind how an OpenClaw agent does not know how to use an OpenClaw feature. My agent rewrote the secrets architecture instead of reading the docs. When I asked him to read the docs and learn how to use it, he gets stuck in a logic loop trying to figure out how to use it properly.

@bradmillscan Just stick with Claude Code. Use @TermiusHQ and Tailscale if you want to do it remote.. just set your MacBook (assuming that's what you're using) to not sleep.

If you have activity bias, ADHD or anything resembling OCD, OpenClaw is a terrible drug and productivity poison. After 40 days in the trenches with this thing, my life is measurably worse. OpenClaw is a lot like crypto trading, gambling or playing video games. Most ppl are going to lose, and you’re going to feel like shit when you’re done - likely only 1% of ppl will find it additive to their lives. I am in a constant state of stress. I’m skipping workouts, my vision is fucked from 12-15 hrs a day on screens, my forearms are fucked from too much typing. There’s a never-ending maze of rabbit holes to fall down, footguns to step on and moles to whack. Plus when you finally do get it going, you start projects and don’t finish them because half way through something breaks. I’m not hitting the gym as often as I should, not eating right and I’ve completely lost sight of my goals and why I started in the first place. The idea of OpenClaw is so compelling and it’s very exciting when I get glimpses of what the future is going to be like when this is not a patchwork of chaos. This tech is dangerous. I know I said this last week but I need to take a break … I’m burnt out from all the constant debugging and errors across every fucking surface of this thing. It’s like trying to fly a plane without a license … oh and it’s on fire…and you’re on crack.

Best setup. iPhone - @TermiusHQ to SSH into MacBook (@Tailscale for VPN) with a tmux Claude Code session. Unreal productivity from anywhere.

This is a perfect example of state run propaganda, ladies and gentlemen. Here, you have an official Press Office for the Governor of the largest state in our Union pushing a defamation campaign against an independent journalist. What terrible thing did that journalist do? Oh, he exposed hundreds of millions of dollars in welfare fraud in an all but fully Democrat run state. California is an actual fully Democrat run state, so they are absolutely terrified of independent journalists that aren’t on their side coming in and spoiling all of their fun. I mean, what if someone actually looks into all of the NGO fraud in California… like where did that $37 billion go that ole Gavin threw at homelessness since 2019 only for homelessness in his state to increase by about 24%? Seems like a lot of money for some pretty terrible results… I’m just asking questions guys. Actually, I’m not. We are watching a live and self reported coverup by Gavin Newsom’s office unfold in real time, for why else would you be against a journalist exposing fraud? The Governor’s office should have nothing to worry about from a bit of investigation, right?

@bradmillscan What are you trying to do with it? I stopped using OpenClaw (for now) and replaced with Claude Code & a custom Telegram bridge, I just leave it running on my Mac 24/7. But, this is purely for dev work... maybe not applicable to your use case

350-400 hours into OpenClaw over the last 33 days non-stop, no days off...I'm ready to quit. My openclaw is fucking lost in the weeds every day today and it's driving me nuts. Basic shit. I asked it to use GitHub. it has a GitHub skill. We have a GitHub SOP. I can see it's thinking process about using skills, then narrating how the skill doesn't exist, then going and inventing ways to retrieve the capability to use GitHub from the internet. I tell it to look in the openclaw docs for the proper skill path, it says "oops my bad, yeah it was there after all." This is ChatGPT 5.4 with extra high thinking turned on. I ask it to diagnose the problem only, so it goes and sees the system prompt is telling it to look at the wrong place, and it goes to GitHub and opens a GitHub issue about this 'bug' without even asking me. What the actual fuck. 3 hours on a Sunday of trying to rewire the brain of my openclaw to do default-behaviour. This thing such a productivity suck & mental poison. I can't do anything useful or positive with OpenClaw because I'm nonstop fighting fires in the engine room. I'm thinking about giving up.

8th shooting this month in the GTA. Armed home invasions have become so pervasive that people have setup neighbourhood watch groups, hired private security, etc. We don't need to accept or tolerate this. Repurpose the ~$1.5B of taxpayer money being spent to buyback guns from licensed gun owners (who contribute to virtually zero gun violence) and use those resources to seize illegal guns, jail repeat offenders and deport repeat offenders here on temporary visas. ctvnews.ca/toronto/articl…

Hearing that despite all the efforts and lobbying for bitcoin de minimis tax exemption, it’s none other than @coinbase trying to nuke it behind the scenes to push stablecoins only. Apparently they are telling legislators that, “No one is using bitcoin as money. A de-minimis exemption for bitcoin is a hand out that will be DOA.”

@claudeai’s remote code feature is a great idea but I’ve found it incredibly buggy… messages sent from my phone fail over 50% of the time, but if I try to resend 3 or 4 times it usually goes through. Shorter messages seem to have a higher success rate. @_catwu

@Crypto_Mags @BCGovNews We were considering moving to Vancouver ~4 or 5 years ago and purchasing property. I don't see how anyone would consider purchasing now (renting is a different story)

My friend @dcfgod put me on making generated bedtime stories for my kids every night Only issue is Gemini images has poor continuity and my kid is so observant so half the story is answering questions like why did he take off his shoes or why did his room change color
