@LobAllan The Scenic was a “with my head” choice last time round, it just didn’t feel particularly exciting. Also, I didn’t feel I was quite ready to enter the “Scenic” phase of my life… but you’re right, ticks a lot of boxes!
English

@PeterboroughCC Are you doing the tree recycling skips at garden centres again?
English

@habibibutter @LNER Won't let you do it til final arrival time is passed.
And then have to break down into each component part...

English

@LNER I’m on the train departing from Edinburgh Waverley to London King’s Cross at 17:30, and the train stopped and the light went off before Dunbar. We are not stopped before the station with no information given. Am I going to make it to London tonight what’s going on?
English

@LNER @habibibutter The next train out of Doncaster after is 5am... any luck finding a driver yet?
English

@habibibutter Our Service Delivery Team is currently working hard to locate a driver to operate the service from Doncaster to Kings Cross. If we are unable to secure a driver in time, you will need to board the next available service departing from Doncaster. Thank you for your patience.

Our old lease car now up for sale. They’ve put a new Arnold Clark sticker on - took me ages to remove the one it came with 3 years ago! 😂

Christopher Smith@chrsmi
20 minutes later, I now know why almost every car in Scotland still has these ghastly stickers in place.
English

@LobAllan Lease payments on the EX30 are ridiculous. Some good deals on the Puma.
English

Puma Gen-E now even more appealing with the £3,750 grant. Real-world 200-mile range, huge boot, very efficient, if anything even better to drive than the regular Puma. Blows the Stellantis stuff and the remarkably overhyped Volvo EX30 (in boggo trim) out the water for me.
Lawrence Allan@LobAllan
This is a great example of the age-old big wheel/unsprung mass issue, for me at least. The Puma Gen-E on 17s (the right side of firm but with sidewall for impacts) rides a lot more consistently than the Polestar 4 on 22s (semi-wafty but clangs into potholes too much).

@au_tom_otive @modernheroestv Blimey. Any interior pix, Tom?
English

Spotted this @modernheroestv - an ex-emergency services i3 with no rear seats and no infotainment screen! Think even that price might be optimistic…

English

@modernheroestv @GRIDSERVE_HQ @OspreyCharging @InstaVoltUK The Google maps indicator showing on CarPlay is quite nice - but could do with showing up when en route!
English

A sign like this showing how many connectors are available is a massive game changer
@GRIDSERVE_HQ @OspreyCharging @InstaVoltUK when?

what do we think about the new Deutschlandnetz player E.On? #alwaysbecharging 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
English

@TedWelford @easycouncil The new Mini software (which is BMW underneath as the logo flashes up when it’s crashing) looks likely, but is laggy and buggy more often than I’d hope…
English

@easycouncil There are few firms today I would say are genuinely reliable with their software. Toyota and BMW are probably the ones I’ve encountered no issues with whatsoever
English

@modernheroestv @TheEvEngineer I had one for 3 weeks last summer, and it got me up to North Yorkshire ok (160 miles range I think) Rapid charging at 80kw was helpful.
English

@TheEvEngineer My ENV200 is off to pastures new shortly and once things settle down one of these is front runner to replace, unless I’m missing a competitor that is more worthy? Maxus ED3 is a bit lacking battery wise.
E-Transit a bit too massive
English

@chrsmi Tonic comes out at basically the same with a £250 deposit, which is what I’ve just ordered.
English

@Eli4Sustain @KateFantom i'd imagine interior wear and tear...
English

@KateFantom 238k miles, 91% SOH, and it shrugs off 11 MOTs? These 'pesky' cheap EVs are starting to look like the true workhorses. Makes you wonder what the next 'problem' will be—door handle polish?
English

These pesky, cheap, Chinese, electric cars.
We’ve just bought this for next to nothing. In its 238,000 miles as a taxi it’s had no repairs. Check out the front pads 😮
It’s failed one of its 11 MOTs on a number plate bulb.
It does now need a few things doing, which is why we have it, but non of these things are the traction battery, motor, inverter or the onboard charger.
SOH ❤️👌🏼
It still drives like a champ 👍🏼

English

Absolutely ridiculous parking policy from @PeterboroughCC in their new parking system.
I’ve been in this car park for an hour and 25 minutes and been charged £5.50 as it crosses over into Evening Rate, and charges both!
As expensive as central Cambridge!
