I used to do property cleanups for real estate agents after the owners passed and relatives did the whole estate sale thing and sold as much as they could. We would end up hauling away entire houses, garages, and sheds full of brand new shit still in the original boxes, never opened, some with price tags from stores that don't even exist anymore. Tools, appliances, clothes, collectibles, you name it. And this wasn't a one-off thing. This was EVERY SINGLE HOUSE, even after the estate sales had already come through and taken what they wanted. Boomers and the Silent Generation are the biggest hoarders on the planet, bar none. They spent decades buying mountains of cheap shit they never used, never needed, and apparently never even opened. And then it all ends up in a dumpster.

"Boomers never purchase anything." Every boomer yard sale is full of thousands of junk trinkets and cheap shit from Dollar General that no one wants but other boomers.
