@aDissentient People defending them are just struggling with a lot of cope. Stopping for an hour or few to charge and pretending its fine. EVs are the purview of morons.

A friend took me for my first long ride in an EV a couple of weeks back. He said he normally gets to the destination on the Mull of Kintyre with 12 miles of charge to spare. However, after an hour he said the battery was running down a bit fast, so rather than risk it all going pear-shaped we stopped at Inverary and charged up for an hour. Food and drink was consumed and we made it to our destination in one piece. But what a palaver! Great weekend, but EVs are not the answer.
