There’s always a quiet fear for being in public life and being outspoken but few I’m sure think the price will be murder. Nothing led her to believe in her quiet remote life that things she said would bring a man to her door to bash her to death. When she saw him - the realisation must have been horrific. It keeps haunting me.

If you get out and about to counter protest any lunatic extremists, like the pro-Palestine Jew haters or the “trans” cult for example, you meet men who look like Joshua Kerry - the suspect in Ann Widdecombe’s murder. Lots of them look capable of murdering women and we know it. They bristle with it. Guy was a loser who stayed in his room … until he didn’t.

@veritasalways1 Whenever a woman is murdered I think of her last moments. I always hope it was so fast she barely knew. But the terror of the moment she did. Just awful. Which is what makes Scott Herbert’s comment so particularly vile.

When planning your summer holiday or days out do you consider whether the destination has a lot of migrants? I’m in a popular seaside town and it’s a popular conversation here.

Absolutely School Uniforms should stay. They are the leveller. Kids don’t need another way to fail, another route to mockery. Surviving adolescence is trial enough.

The humble oyster, the sea's most exclusive delicacy. A quick briefing before your next cold, briny gulp: - Filters up to 50 gallons of seawater a day and keeps a little souvenir from every one - Souvenirs include lead, cadmium, copper, microplastics, forever chemicals and a delicate top note of sewage bacteria - Served whole, raw and still alive, guts and all, since gutting or cooking it would waste that lovely filtering work - Hoards pollution so faithfully that the US government has used oysters as pollution sensors since the 1970s - Correct, the thing on your plate is a certified scientific instrument for measuring how filthy the sea has become - And the sea it strains for a living now runs about eight parts in ten plastic, before we even get to everyone's sewage Bon appétit. You are paying good money for the used filter cartridge.

Dr. Dr. P: No human is 'trans'. It's a lie.
These are vulnerable adults who have no idea they're being exploited for a wider, wholly sinister agenda. Yes, they think they are just dressing up and having a fun day out. But we know differently. Those appalling costumes didn't appear out of thin air. These men and women didn't drive themselves to pride (no capitals). They didn't chaperone themselves all day. This entire exploitative enterprise would have taken quite a degree of organisation and planning. Who paid for the costumes, the mini bus, the refreshments, the staff escorts? What happened to adult safeguarding? Where is Social Services in all this? And, who is funding 'Drag Syndrome'? And what if one of these Down's syndrome adults having now been exposed to pride (no capitals), decides they want hormones, and/or 'gender-affirming' surgery? What happens then? Will we put people with Down's syndrome under the knife? Will we dysregulate their bodies with hormones? Will we further disrupt their psychosocial functioning, their intellectual capacities and their health? This highly disturbing clip illustrates the pernicious and dangerous consequence of endlessly pursuing untrammelled and unthinking 'inclusivity'. Because in a sane, rational and compassionate society, we would exclude certain people from doing certain things. For their own protection.
Genevieve Gluck@WomenReadWomen

Drag Syndrome is a London-based group of drag performers with Down Syndrome. It is managed and directed by Daniel Vais, who you may be surprised to learn, does not have Down syndrome.

If I showed you a picture of my dog in a chicken costume would you say he looked like a dog or a chicken? 'Looking like' cannot be the test for who enters single sex female spaces. Unless you are saying you want to set up a two tier system between the 'bricks' and the 'dolls'. This would bring immediately a huge wave of problems as they you are essentially denying a claimed gender identity to the vast majority of trans identified men who do not 'pass'. Second, who is making the determination that they 'look like' women? Is there going to be official guidance? A manual? Hair below shoulders, tick, lipstick, tick, high heels tick? So women with short hair and no make up risk exclusion? There is only one way to be clear, sure and sensible. And that is to make sex the salient organising category. It cannot be changed and it may not be mimicked. If trans identifying men do not wish to use single sex male facilities, then unisex facilities will have to be provided.
