day 241 in ecom. long post here but it’s for those asking about my profit margins. i honestly don’t track my profits i still need to hire a bookkeeper & i also cannot figure out how to get my triple whale to calculate profit margins correctly. BUT i do keep track of my cogs & i did the math the other day of adding up my all time cogs plus adspend, & then my all time revenue. & i’ve done around $140,000 in revenue & $137,000 on adspend & cogs lol. plus chargebacks, refunds, fees, my video editors, subscription tools, etc. i’m negative. but that’s fine i’m not in this for quick profits i’m in this for the long game. that’s $140K worth of learning & i’m trying to build something with mrr that i can exit one day. my mrr store is only less than 3 months old & i have $12K in mrr stacked & doing $2K days. the profits will come. this is a crazy 7 days a week 365 grind & most of you beginners are in for a rude awakening if you stay in this game long enough. a lot of the mfs posting revenue screenshots on here will never (truthfully) talk about how much profit they actually make cause chances are it’s slim to none & they just want you to buy their course from their big revenue screenshot. & they’re prob blackhat. also whoever says you only need like 1-2K to start ecom is setting people up for failure. you’re not gonna print money from day 1 on your first product. & you don’t want to have to rely on your shopify payouts to stay above water. ecom is expensive. you need money on hand to scale & pay invoices & pay off your credit cards & many more things. this shi is draining both mentally and financially. but if it was easy everyone would do it

$0 - $100k/m with ecom day 141 Revenue: $0 Ad Spend: $100 ROAS: 0 Ok, it's been nearly 3 days running those native ads, and for the first time ever seeing 0 ATCs, despite soft metrics looking good I'm definitely doing something wrong I know native ads can work, but I'm not sure if it works for my demographic, or it's just a skill issue I'm going to start afresh and make some new batches of natives, will give it another go But first I probably need to spend a few more hours doing market research, and getting to know my customer better Back to the drawing board Cya tomorrow!🏌🏾‍♂️

$0 - $100k/m with ecom day 142 I have not posted an update in a minute, but annoyingly I've not been able to launch any ads in a week My FB profile (the new one I bought) also got permanently suspended, so now I have no ad account to run ads from Speaking with Meta daily to try and get my main profile back as I know a few people in the same situation who managed to get it unbanned In the meantime, I've decided to move on from the product I was testing, gave it a solid 2 months, overall it's break even but I think is time to try something new So while I'm sorting out a new FB profile, I'm doing research and building a new website Fingers crossed, we'll be live before the end of the week Trust God's plan!

24 year old entrepreneur, in under 12 months, my girl and I manifested and worked for the life we wanted. If you've been following my journey back in 2025, you know the goal was always to be +357, and after being here for the past 8 months, here's what I want to say: We relocated here back in September 2025, not because of the taxes but purely for the way we both feel being here, calm, happy, fulfilled. The list goes on, but we feel like we have unlocked a new chapter, a challenge we desperately want to accomplish, and as with the first vision board, the goal was Cyprus; now we have a bigger goal, to retire our parents in the next 2 years (before they turn 50). We had some crazy downs after we came here, didn't even end up experiencing Black Friday because we had issues with Meta disabling our ad accounts due to the change of IP address (a few weeks before Black Friday, we went to the UK to visit our family), but now we know, lesson learned. Payment processor holds, money stuck with Shopify, Airwallex, and PayPal for months, and we decided to step away from ecom and start a jewellery brand that my girl is now working on full time and of course, with ecom there are many, many positives, but everything can just end here and then. Working on a jewellery brand is nice, custom pieces, everything white hat, good quality that you know customers will like and recommend to others or come back for more, photoshoots, crazy margins, a legit face behind the brand, and targeting an audience that you know will resonate with you and the story behind the brand. Less worry about holds, Meta disabling your ads, and you feel like you have more control over it, but it takes soooo much longer to see even 10% of what usual ecom can do in just a few weeks. Hence, my best friend and I decided to try and launch something together, and here is what just 2 weeks look like for us so far. The only reason we have not scaled for the past 3 days is that we are waiting for more custom stock. We validated the idea in the first few days, and we're all in on custom stock now, so to avoid long af shipping delays and complaints, we will hold off for now and start scaling from next week.
