My friend’s girlfriend got a DM from a random old guy offering her $150,000K to sleep with her/take her out idk. My friend told her if she does it, the relationship is over. Her response: “It’s one time. @ericmmatheny It would be around 21% not including social security witch would add another 6.2 %. It is a flat tax so you would not be able to write of property tax or mortgage payments. It would be around 27% percent plus about 3k for property taxes.

Flat tax. Whether you make $1000 or $100 million. A fixed percentage for everybody. And that’s it. A one-page tax form. No bullshit. Everybody pays a reasonable and equitable amount. Everyone - from the wealthiest to the poorest - have skin in the game.

You can take out a $67,000 loan right now at 7.5% and buy 1 BTC. In 10 years, you'll owe the bank $102,000. Bitcoin's price in 10 years? Easily $500k-$1M. That's a 5-10x profit for FREE. Worst case, Bitcoin is $100k, and you break even. Literally free money. Don't overcomplicate it.

A father is getting backlash for rescuing his 9-year-old daughter from her flooded school in Westernport, Maryland on Tuesday because rescuers were unable to get all the children to safety in a timely manner. So, while they were taking the kids out slowly, he went in and got his daughter before the building could collapse or be washed away. Some are saying he risked both of their lives as the flood could have turned deadly for both. Others say he's the father of the year. I think he took a calculated risk that worked out in his favor. I would have went in and got my daughters and not 100 men would have stopped me. Well done dad.

Cheaper to make in China at 145%.

Been chatting with my wife about an issue I want to solve, but am a bit stumped -- so thought I would ask the question here, and maybe get some ideas: We both work full-time, and have two young kids at home. Our nanny leaves at 5pm, and then I get home a bit after that. We play with the kids for about an hour (while my wife makes them dinner), have dinner, and then we each give one of them a bath, and help put them to bed. By then it's around 7pm, we're both completely exhausted. We would like nothing more than to enjoy some downtime the rest of the night after a long day, but the work is just beginning. The kitchen and dining areas are now a mess from dinner, the dishes need to be done, and food needs to be prepared for the kids for the next day. By the time all of it is done, it's after 9pm, we are beyond exhausted, and the day is essentially over. We have a cleaner that comes to the house twice a week, but of course wraps up well before 6pm. What do other people do to solve this issue? How do you win back your free time after the kids go do bed, without leaving a mess overnight and ensuring they have food ready for the next day?
