@dantypo Replace "dog" with "kids". Kids are rotten. Parents of kids are rotten. I'll be bringing my dog with me because I like to spend time with him, it gets him out of the house and gets him to socialize. You "had" a dog; input invalid on the subject.

Nobody is required to love your dog. I know I sound like a prick. But stop bringing them in stores. Just last Friday, I stopped in a store and a guy in checkout has his dog and it jumps on me as I walk past them. “Oh he just loves people” they say obliviously. So? I’m having to go to customers and the dog got dirt streaks on the thigh of my pants. And spare me the “if you don’t like it, don’t go in the store” bullshit. If you can’t make it through a store without your dog, it’s not me with the issues. I had a dog. It was a great dog. Best part of our family at times. But I expect NOBODY to have to deal with my occasionally over-excited dog, especially in a public place. I’d never have even thought of bringing a dog (I’ve seen it twice now) in a restaurant. Hell, if a person came over my house who was uncomfortable with it acting up, I’d take him in the other room. And for those with actual service pets? You really should speak up, because the people who don’t have well trained dogs are going to lose you that privilege. *end rant

@CoachSwit I heard it described perfectly one time. You can travel a few hours away then lie to all your friends about your kid’s performance. When it’s Friday night and the entire community is there watching you, there’s no hiding from that.

You're one coach that is probably doing a great job, but I'm sure there are adults in your league making decisions that you, a baseball mind, shake your head and say "but why?" So yes, your team you coach may be fine, but the league overall?

@CoachMarcusHill Then you clearly didn’t attend the practice that I ran this morning for my little league team, “Coach Hill.” We run a way better practice than the guys who get paid to coach my son’s 8U travel team.

If you think travel baseball is killing little league baseball I encourage you to attend a local little league practice and you’ll see little league baseball is killing little league baseball.

@CoachMarcusHill The worst thing they did to little league is keep the kids from pitching until Minors/AAA which is primarily 9-10 year olds. The kids have zero pitching skills way too late, and the hitters don’t have live pitching experience either until then.

We have what could legitimately be the biggest non-conference college baseball game of the season. #4 Mississippi State vs #1 UCLA at a primetime Sunday 3:30 slot. Yet the game is on FloSports and you’ll have to pay $20 to watch it. PPV college baseball sucks.
