@ZubyMusic The first space race gave us microelectronics and lead to affordable computers. It's easy to take these things for granted now, but in an alternative timeline where the space race never happened we'd likely not have the internet or it would have been invented much much later.
Unpopular opinion:
Spending billions/trillions on space travel, when there are still tons of starving and homeless people right here on Earth, is dumb.
@adds68@ryanteck Yes, sad times. Not been well and driving less these days so it doesn't make sense to own such a luxury anymore. Fortunately the depreciation has been low. If you know anyone who wants to buy a Tesla...
@M1ke Not sure if ESLint can catch your specific case or not, but this is a good example of where TS+React work really well together. I never even think about these problems due to TS.
Any eslint or React ninjas out there who can tell me how to catch potential null pointer ex(ception/spolsion)s when a nullable PropType is used without a null check? stackoverflow.com/questions/6606…
@all_about_code@bobbigmac@FullyChargedShw@bobbyllew That's already the case in many countries (i.e. France). Also, electric car owners are more green minded than most and choose electricity plans where all power is sourced from renewables. It costs a little more but that money will go into growing infrastructure.
@cjdell@bobbigmac@FullyChargedShw@bobbyllew Do you think we'll only start to see the benefits of electric cars once the majority of the ways we produce electricity start using green methods of production?
@all_about_code@bobbigmac@FullyChargedShw@bobbyllew Also we need to do way more than just electric everything. Recycling/reuse will be massive as will be green steal production. Look up how much CO2 global steal production emits!
@all_about_code@bobbigmac That's a good question. Buy stocks in companies or start-ups that promise to advance green tech in some way. Obviously not all of them will succeed and some will be scams. Choose wisely. Watch @FullyChargedShw, @bobbyllew is great!
@deepakbhari Remember crypto doesn't generate wealth, it only moves it around. Would be life changing if people took more interest in investing in renewable energy projects/carbon capture etc. The dividend is air that you can still breath and land that you can still walk on (oh and money too)
@RoboJ1M@bstragnell@bitluni I think it'll be successful because it has the Raspberry Pi name and community behind it, which is fair enough. Would have liked WiFi but it does have the PIO's which is cool. I will probably stick to the ESP32 as that is a pretty nice well rounded micro also around $4.
