Music Hubs are vital providers of high-quality music education in state schools. But they have been on standstill Govt funding for a decade while costs & demand have risen.   Now there is a crisis in music education but some Hubs are having their budgets hit from September   1/2

A political party leader speaking with passion & conviction about music ed. I can't remember this ever happening before. Let's hope the vision turns into reality, for the sake of young people everywhere. For they have paid a high price for successive governments' philistinism.

When I was 11, I hopped on a train to London, ending at the Guildhall School of Music. For a working class kid like me, it was transformational. Every child should have access to the subjects they love. Great to set out our plan to make that happen, back at @guildhallschool.
