@ademir2z Had three seasons with 42 matches(one of which he missed half of). Injuries cost him at least two seasons of high scoring seasons in his prime. Even when the league was tougher and he was past his prime he still came close to Henry and ruud in golden boot.

It’s strange how in all of these rankings, nobody recognises that Shearer scored his goals at a time when the Premier League was the fifth strongest league in Europe and in a number of years had 42 teams. It was a much weaker era.
