@EricRichards22 I’m very skeptical about the whole “can’t visualize an apple” thing. I haven’t looked at the study, but it sounds like a misinterpretation that got picked up and spread by X. Same for the idea that some people don’t have an inner monologue. I find that hard to believe.

Alarming percentages of the population can't answer the breakfast question, visualize an apple, hear music in their head, rotate shapes, read a map, add fractions, make change, read a paragraph, give orders, follow orders The reality is the opposite of the Heinlein quote

Talent obviously plays a role, and perhaps more at much higher levels; but there is IMO a serious cultural problem in math at roughly the undergrad level, where students arrogantly attribute to their talents what is really the result of their parents' tutoring spending

What is incredibly toxic about math gatekeeping is that much of what looks like math talent is actually just better early resources. So some people who had better training early on will look at the struggles of those who had worse training, and be like, "you'll never make it"

Guys the weirdest thing keeps happening to me when it comes to OpenAI, and it now has happened to me across providers and apps even. In NoSpoon, when using OpenAI via API, it keeps making weird stories when the agent runs autonomously on my account about someone from the future going into the past to communicate a message. It does this nonstop, it's very annoying, and it only happens on my account. I've tried to prompt cache to no avail as I'm sick of seeing the agent constantly create this. Today, I was using a completely different service which is totally separate from videogen entirely and NoSpoon completely AND a dif email that wasn't even using an API key from me or identifier from me, and said service hit an error, hallucinated something (using OpenAI in some capacity I believe) and it was, you guessed it, yet again about a person from the future going back to the past to deliver a message via reincarnation (what lol). Weird. Has anyone else had errors or hallucinations with OpenAI particular and this trope? It's starting to be weird enough that I'm flagging it here.
