of 22 mil for all sports. Football is in the bottom of 3rd of the acc. Hoops is DFL.

@TheDeacMachine The football team is being taken care of NIL wise. We’re putting the money in for facilities, our coaching staff, and to get good quality players that will help us to keep us at least competitive in the league. Basketball were just not putting it into it.

If Juke Harris is drafted this summer, that is one thing.
But, if he instead plays for another college next season, it is an abject failure from Wake. For the powers that be, it’s unacceptable and should be a wake up call.

Allow the DC to work on what its suppossed to work on, and donors can give towards a collective. There is no way for individual donors to give to an nil collective at wake forest

At least when we had bad coaches like Bz and Manning there was optimism that a new staff would change things quickly. Within two years this has gone from at least being in the mix to structurally rotten. Just terrible planning waiting on the government (?!) to bail us out.

It’s rough when your only hope just to be a tourney contending P5 program rests with the hire of a new university president. Systematically so bad that coaches don’t really matter and the money doesn’t give you a chance to even compete. Honestly, really down as bad as it can be

@DeaconSports Agree. Also, goes well beyond the AD. This is failure of the university to properly fund the revenue share. Most successful schools are 100% funding it. Wake funds about half of the rev - forcing the AD/DC to find the rest. Means leaving nothing for NIL, if a co-op existed

*If* the reported budget is correct & sticks, this is what Forbes has to work with next month. This is why Currie coming out in March and saying we were middle of the ACC is so frustrating and why I rarely direct my complaints to coaching the last couple years.
