Marty Makary was never some wild conspiracy theorist. He was a respected doctor who openly criticized corruption, conflicts of interest, pharmaceutical influence, and the lobbying machine that has infected American healthcare. People supported this administration believing it would finally stand up to Big Pharma and the lobbyists who profit off sick Americans. Instead, we keep watching the few people willing to challenge the system either get pushed out, silenced, or give up altogether. That’s not a good look. Americans are losing faith because it feels like every institution eventually bends to the same money and pressure.
