I have yet to hear an actual benefit for allowing my fridge or microwave to connect to my wifi, much less a compelling argument for it. Why on earth would I want any of that nonsense?

@UpIsNotJump I enjoyed it on my first play through after it dropped, but never really felt the need to go back in on subsequent ones. If it was better integrated into the main game and didn’t feel like a token “now you can go play bad guy” expansion, I’d be more interested in going back.

@ToshiArte You aren’t an artist, you have access to a machine which pretends to make art.

They told us we weren’t artists. We answered by becoming the biggest current art movement. Here’s the part that matters most: All art is art. Every medium is valid. Every artist, whether you mix pigments by hand, sculpt light with a lens, paint with code, or prompt a dream, is equal at the table. To the traditional painters, sculptors, and photographers already collaborating with us: thank you. Your open hands and curious hearts are the reason this revolution feels like family instead of war. To every AI artist grinding prompts at 3 a.m.: thank you. You’re proving that vision has never needed permission, only courage. We don’t need to tear anyone down to rise. There’s room for oil, marble, film, pixels, and neural networks on the same wall. The future isn’t “AI art” versus “real art.” The future is just art, louder, wider, kinder, and finally free. So keep creating, whatever your tool. Keep sharing. Keep lifting each other up. The renaissance isn’t coming. It’s already here, and it belongs to all of us. With gratitude to every hand that ever made something beautiful. #AIart #aiartist #art #Artists

Does anybody have a good reason why my fridge, washer, dryer, or dishwasher need to have AI? I can’t even think of a reason why they should be connected to the internet, much less this nonsense.

I don't recognise the language being spoken on my train anymore. Not a single conversation in English for 40 minutes. I look around and realise I'm the foreigner now. In my own country. On the train line I grew up on. And if I mention this, I'm the problem.

Bloomarosa is a moron. Even a cursory knowledge of communism vs capitalism informs you that, in fact, Communist states worsen their products yearly to meet quotas and ease manufacture, while capitalist societies are constantly trying to improve things. It’s why Soviet Russia had only a few types of stove, and a US appliance store has 20. Or why Cuba had a single brand of toothpaste for one size fits all.

@_Jyggalag_ NMM is a technical feat and amazing when done right for a showpiece, but it is overwrought and beyond unnecessary for a game piece.

@The_Lord_Otter @Wizards_DnD You do know you can run the game in whatever setting you want and don’t have to engage in this stuff, right? If you just want dungeon crawling and monster fights, you can do that, literally nobody is stopping you from playing how you wish at your table.

@LegacyKillaHD Acknowledging inflation and explaining why the games aren’t staying at $60 forever isn’t defending game price increases. Not everything is an attack or fight, chill out.

God I hate hate hate when people defend $80-100 game prices. In the late 90s, gaming was a niche. Now billions play them, more money than ever before being made.... Also RENTING was a major thing & sales were common. Don't be a corporate bootlicker, an ugly look guy.
HistoryMarshal@HistoryMjr76

@LegacyKillaHD Games effectively costed $100 in the late 90s and early 00s when the $60 price tag was settled. Halo cost $50 in 2001; that'd be $91 today.

@MarcusCVance The reivers here are more into psychological warfare than other astartes MOSs, so they very well might have determined “this looks more badass/scary” is a good enough reason to change grip, regardless of any tactical advantage the grip has in other situations.

Ok, elephant in the room. Is this a good use of reverse grip knife? Yes. Pistol (revolver) plus reverse grip knife was used by Von Tempsky's raiders in New Zealand, and there's some evidence WWI Trench Raiders did similar.

@PinClock @BarrylMason Difficulty settings have been a part of the industry for decades. Nobody thinks Wolfenstein 3D is less of a game because it had “Daddy, Can I Play?” as a difficulty option. Get your head out of your ass.

@cmack20X6 @BarrylMason Oh now we're going back to what it's really about, "I don't want to learn games or think while I play, so every game NEEDS a braindead easy mode for me! That way I can talk about the popular game and act like I had the same experience!" Watch movies or play VNs instead.

@cmack20X6 @BarrylMason My problem is the insistance that every game needs one, and that also in sequels the difficulty of harder difficulties are being lowered because of universal mechanics
